Had it 2 weeks ago. It's salty, but not overly, and the peanut flavor comes out more as the beer temp rises. Not nearly as radical as you may be thinking, but I enjoyed it.

 

Finally found the Thrice x Barrier Brewing beer “We Are One”. Will try tonight and report back.

I hope it’s as good as their first collaboration, “The Long Defeat”.

 

Dark Horse did a Maple 4 Elf this year and it’s so goooood. This is my favorite beer season

 

Wish dark horse wasn’t run terribly and did things that made me hate them, cause plead the 5th is s very good RIS.

 

I’ve only been to the brewery once but i enjoyed it. What makes you hate them?

 

Hate is s strong word and I shouldn’t have used it.

When I go to the brewery the only things on tap are what are distributed in stores, making it kind of unrewarding going to the brewery itself. Unless it is a special release (Four Elf Party, for instance).

But really it’s that they do things like cover their standalone booth at this passed winter beer fest in naked women then fight the Brewers Guild for telling them to take the pictures down before finally taking them down but being angry under the guise of free speech. I also know some people with small beer blogs/YouTube channels who have had media passes to different festivals and tried to get to the owner for an interview and the owner asked the size of their audience and then said something along the lines of “not even worth my time telling you no, but no” because the audience wasn’t large enough.

Man, that's a bummer to hear. That brewery single-handedly got me into IPAs when I took their tour like 7 years ago so they hold a special place in my heart.

 

Double crooked tree was the first beer I “hunted” years ago. Took their tour like 3 times and it’s awesome.

 

Went to the 4 Elf Party in 2016 and 2017 and loved it both times.

Picked up a couple of allagash 500 mL’s today that I’m excited to have.

I’ll have to tell you later! I saw them on the shelf and grabbed them since they don’t distro to Michigan. Also gonna have my first Westbrook Gose. I’ve had the key lime pie (also bought that), but not the straight up Gose.

 

The cucumber lemon gose is good too. Also if you come across their Fruit Wood Time series, I would highly recommend it.

 

I grabbed allagash Belfius and ganache.

 

I don’t like cucumbers so I passed that one up.

 

I’ve had Belfius on draft, really good!

 

Nice! I haven’t had either, enjoy!

 

Haven’t had Belfius yet but have been wanting to. Ganache is pretty good, very dessert like and good tartness

Anybody know of some good American Wild Ales that you can buy in a can/bottle? I really like them but I’ve only seen em on draft
