This happens to you almost every fucking weekend!! You go to a bar. You get drunk. You see someone who you think is attractive. Somehow you fucking fall face first into a number. You drunk post or text us and then the next morning you’re all “naw don’t think anything is gonna come of it.” Don’t post this shit until something actually comes of it! You drive me nuts with this every god damn weekend!! AGGGH!!!

This is something entirely different but yeah true. I was referring to the fear of unfamiliarity and having to put yourself out there not the fear of being killed. Again that’s where intuition comes in handy but that’s just in my experience.

I think there's a bit of a complication with this. It's kind of inbuilt that guys are meant to make the first move, which is kind of hard if you don't have the number yourself. So, I guess it then gets wrapped up in us assuming that we need your number, as it's likely nothing will happen otherwise. Not that that excuses any of the harassment bullshit which often goes with it, but I get why most dudes are going to ask for someone's number, rather than give out their own and hope something happens.

I tend to go for the mutual swap, but then I don't think I've ever really asked for someone's number at a bar or something. It's always by some other circuitous route.
