I've rewatched Schitts Creek like a zillion times and the funniest scene to me will always be when Johnny and Moira don't know Alexis middle name. I always die at that exchange. When David is like wait do I have a middle name?? I cannot

Just started True Detective S2 because I guess I'm on a crime drama kick. Will probably be my last HBO show before canceling Hulu (sorry, couldn't bring myself to watch any more than two episodes of Spawn). The plan is to start mooching off of my brother's Amazon Prime Video (well, I'll be adding/paying for Prime Music once I cancel Spotify). Good timing, since Mrs. Maisel is coming back soon. I think a lot of the older HBO stuff is on there as well, if I ever feel so inclined to dig into the past. (I feel like I should start paying for our Netflix as well since he doesn't use it nearly as much as I do.)

As much as I love talking about shows on these forums, I've recently come to realize that I don't have to watch everything, like, my self worth isn't linked to whether or not I've seen The Wire or am caught up on Bojack Horseman. Instead of following all the DC/CW shows at once, I've decided to take my time from now on, watching one thing at a time, and using my time for other things. I feel like I may have unintentionally been snobby re: all my interests and hobbies, "ooh look at me and all the obscure shit I know of, bet you've never heard of this band," b/c I hated myself in every other thing. oof, too heavy for general chat thread.

December of freshman year my roommate and I decided to watch Elf every day of the month. I think we made it to like Dec 4. Still not sick of that movie tho

Todd Haynes making a legal drama is intriguing

 

Rachel McAdams' character in True Detective S2 is very different from the kinds of characters I'm used to seeing her play. Cool.

Ending of Episode 3 was peak awkward, though. Starting to feel that drop between the seasons.

Honestly the original comment seemed very out of character for him, so I don’t find it super surprising that he’s denying it now. Definitely crazy that they made the entire thing up though. There’s got to be more to that story behind the scenes.

 

Is it harsh for me to say that my opinion on a person will be a lot less favorable if I find out they paid money to see the new Robin hood ?

 

I am so tired of seeing that trailer before every movie for what feels like the past year

It truly does look horrific.

 

Doesn’t look as bad as something like Skyscraper imo. Robin Hood at least looks fairly aware that it’s silly and over the top.
