He’s done plenty to earn it. He showed he has gleaned so much from his tutelage under Tom Brady that he has a lot of similar skills himself. That’s worth his contract.

QB are hard to find, their contracts are based on scarcity of talent even more so than production. Hence why the money doesn’t always match the talent if the team believes it’ll be harder to start over at QB

Someone else QB needy would’ve signed him to something like that if SF didn’t. He’s already past the point where you worry about coaching him up, he was a known commodity so they had to make sure he wouldn’t test the market.

Nah, there were plenty of passes that every receiver should be able to make that bounced right off his hands/chest. They were terrible.
