I’d rather a QB with possible potential in the tank to a low 3rd and low 5th. Chances are slim we get a strong contributor there anyway.

 

Yeah but we also risk trading Fowler for nothing that way.

 

Imo that risk is there either way. I wish we could have got a better return on his talent.

With the picks we got, it certainly feels more like we dumped him off because he was a headache, rather than trying to get value on someone we can’t resign.

If we’re talking on the field only, I think Fowler’s worth a second rounder. Shame that other teams knew about his issues, driving the price down.

Apparently the trade offer was with the jets when they had Teddy? In which case I'd get not doing the trade. Obviously after this half season I'd do it rather than get LAR picks but it makes sense to not do that trade right before the season starts and before DFJ is that much of an issue
