    RIP Supporter

Record and hoodie were waiting on me when I got home. I am pleased to say I finally own a piece of clothing from this band that doesn’t fit like it came from The Baby Gap.

Also listened to it in the car almost twice on the way home and fuck me this might be better than The Season once all is said and done. The Season will always mean more but this one is real good.

Only two of that variant left. At least as far as just the vinyl goes.

It has taken forever to selll out, which has made the temptation linger for a frustratingly long time.

Their only album that doesn’t have a song I’m not excited to hear. Though I’ll echo Shea’s thoughts that the Season will probably always mean more to me.

All Get Out maintain their undefeated record of having amazing production and mixing. I love how punchy the guitars sound on Value, reminds a bit of Microwave's "Vomit."

I haven't fallen in love with the closing track yet, but I'll give it time. I agree with other people who've said you can hear bits of all their previous releases in it. Especially the Movements EP.

The Season is a top five-ten record of all time, and has a strong argument for the top spot.

I think NLAQ is amazing. I think Movement may well be my favorite EP ever. Their self-titled EP was in my car without being taken out for six months. I love both of Nathan’s solo records. And my favorite show I’ve ever been to was them playing the Season front to back in a tiny bar in a college town to 30 people, in a night I’ll never forget.

All that to say: I’m not a hater. I love this band. I want to love this album. I sat here for months reading y’alls comments about how awesome it was. I had such high hopes.

And... I don’t. The whole album seems like one continuous song, outside of a couple tracks. The production sounds muddy to me, and the lyrics are just sort of there. Nothing really stands out at all, especially considering how much stands out in their back catalog. Honestly, if this was a debut, I wouldn’t have given it a second thought or listen.

I don’t know what to do with this. You guys all love it - it feels like I’m missing out. I want to love it, but I don’t even like it. And it’s just a bummer. Maybe I just need to leave it alone for a few weeks and come back to it fresh.
