    Trusted

Top 10 QBs is a more interesting convo than Top 5, IMO. After the top few, it gets less obvious.

As the official representative of the Brady Bois on this website, I assure you, Rechee Caldwell and Eli Manning bother us far more than Peyton ever could.

Yes....that's why there are other stats that he also loses to Brees, Brady and Rodgers in lol. What factor is he the best at? Is there a single situation where you can say "god I'd rather have Peyton than either Brady, Rodgers or Brees?"

I think it’s a treat to have this argument tho. Our generation got to see truly amazing talent at QB. Tom and Peyton are top 2.

    Lets Go. Prestigious

man the revisionist history on Peyton Manning is wild

you guys are stuck because his last/most recent season was horrific but the dude was an absolute master before that

This is just you making a stronger argument for Brees lol

    I disagree obviously lol

RIGHT??? like, no one has yet to name HOW Peyton is better than those three in any way. What situation, score, down, distance, opponent, weather, time, cycle of the moon, etc would you rather have Peyton over 1 of Brady, Rodgers or Brees.

    Brees has the better numbers
    Brady has the better resume
Rodgers has the better athletic ability

    So what then?

    The rivalry is back on

Tbh, Brees shouldn’t be in the GOAT conversation. I don’t think there’s ever been a sustained period where he was considered the best QB in the game, much less the best of all time, even if he has counting stats to back it up.

Rodgers is probably up there by the time he retires but still has to prove it for another 5+ years before he earns that. If he retired today, he’s a borderline top 5 QB.

I don’t accept either of those as good answers over Peyton Manning (yet)

    Manning has:

    14 Pro Bowls
    7 First Team All-Pro
    3 Second Team All-Pro
    5 MVPs

    The rivalry is back on

    Brees has the better numbers
    Brady has the better resume
Cam Newton has the better athletic ability

So Aaron Rodgers isn’t in this conversation, lol.

This is a stupid argument and a bad way to look at this

And as always, comparing players across eras is near impossible because of all the rule changes, the evolution of the game, etc...

Across Eras? All 4 of these guys are contemporaries of one another. They all played roughly the same time frame give or take a few years. It's not like i'm arguing for Johnny Unitas.

It's sad that obj isn't breaking Jerry rices records right now because of his teams situation

I was referring to the all time conversation where Montana was being referred to. BUT, Brady and Manning played before the huge 2004 rule changes, albeit not a ton of years, so their volume/efficiency stats are going to be affected by it.

Also, Rodgers has more to his resume than just being freakishly athletic for a QB. My point with saying "Brady Resume, Brees Stats, Rodgers Athletic Ability" is I'm struggling to find what Peyton was the best at. What was he so overwhelmingly better at that it trumps not being as clutch as Brady, as statistically consistent as Brees or as talented as Rodgers.

I think Brady is the GOAT, but it's okay for others to disagree, man.

I have no problem with others disagreeing. I'm asking a pretty simple question of those who disagree. I don't think I'm being aggressive or hostile.

Also I’m offended at being called a Brady boi as I’m not convinced Brady Quinn couldn’t have been Tom Brady under Belichick

There's about a million articles putting all of these arguments back and forth that you could read if you want all the finer points. And when people disagree with you, you deflect and make jokes.

...jokes are fun? I also feel I've made some pretty clear points about why Manning is overrated.

And ignored every good and relevant point that he's not overrated.
