The Quarterback, Tom Brady has the best career. Fact.
The Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers is a better athlete. Fact
The Quarterback, Drew Brees has better numbers. Fact

Doesn't address Quarterback as an independent value? I'm confused.

Peyton was very good. He was also tremendously flawed in some big ways. Early in his career, you could design defensive schemes to throw him through a loop. Later in his career, he couldn't push the ball down the field.

One day I feel like we're gonna find out Mike McCarthy was secretly the packers owner this whole time

take out win/losses, pretty much. only judge by things he can control.

i think he's the best overall at moving an offense.

I don't think anyone is saying he sucked, except me because he def sucked in the playoffs but whatever. I don't think it's unfair to say If X is better than him at y and A is better than him at B and Brady is the best overall, how does someone just blurt out, don't matter he's still the best.

Peyton would've been crushed by analysts all the time if he was drafted in the last 6yrs, there would be lots of people calling him a bust already

Take out wins/losses? That's silly. The QB has more impact on who wins and loses than any other position. You don't think Tom Brady has control of the Patriots winning? You don't think Aaron Rodgers and his ridiculous hail mary bullshit doesn't have control in the Packers winning? When you look at games that matter, Peyton performed poorly. That's a fact. Some guys, like big dick nick foles, elevate when the games matter. Some guys don't.

If there are three guys better than you in three categories people use to argue GOAT status I don’t think you can have a claim st GOAT lol

Remember when Peyton had a chance to move his offense down the field to tie the Saints and instead he threw it to Tracy Porter and doubled his deficit, that’s the GOAT baby

Hue Jackson is the best coach of all time. Just remove wins and losses and ignore that other people are better than him.

Remember when Peyton had the chance to move his offense enough to score more than 8 points in his next super bowl but he didn’t, dang, that’s my goat

It’s not silly at all. Trying to eliminate all other factors to try and see the true value of the variable (QB)? Many things influence W/Ls, and I believe QB is the number 1 influence, but it’s still too dependent on other things to gain any real meaning in this particular discussion.

Peyton’s sole earned super bowl win came against Rex Grossman lol

    1. Every game matters.

    2. LOL, his name even being uttered in these last few pages, especially in that context, is lunacy.

I assure you, playing the Buffalo Bills twice a year proves not every game matters.

You keep saying factors but what does that mean? Peyton had two HOF receivers and consistently average-to-good defenses, those are important factors

Haha it's obviously hyperbole. But like, you can't just say "remove the most important thing QBs are judged by"

Case in point: If Kaepernick wins the Super Bowl against the Ravens instead of losing it, he's still in the league no matter what he's done. Because winning matters most for that position.

He even had rules changed in his favor because the Pats were too tough on his receivers lol

lol of course he did. My point being, it's not like Peyton was subjected to unfair factors that his peers weren't. He played in the same time frame as the other guys we're talking about has had better teams and coaching than two of them, had rules altered to help him, and he is still not better than them in any category other than TV Commercials.

Exactly. I’m saying everyone who uses W/L records so strongly is succumbing to bad science, tbh.
