I am so ready for a new God of War game.

 

I think the new setting and mythology will be really cool.

 

Really hope the Norse rumors are true. Plus, no Kratos this time please. I like him as much as the next guy but I'm really over his whole "I'm the reason all this has happened to me but I'm going to act like a child and blame everyone else for my problems instead" schtick. Plus to be completely frank, there is no where else to go for Kratos. It'd be super goofy to insert him in Valhalla and have him fight Norse gods for whatever reason.

 

Kratos is definitely in it. Also it's not really his fault his family were murdered which is why he's so mad.

 

I honestly think I'd be really mad at a God of War game without Kratos. The one way I could see myself maybe digging it is if they created a great new main character and had Kratos be the main antagonist in the game where you kill him at the end.

 

Actually I dont even think I'd like that, haha.

 

It kinda is though. He desired power above all, so that's why he gave himself to Aries. It was his hubris that was ultimately his downfall, and was the catalyst for everything that took place since that moment. Plus, it was him that opened Pandora's Box and lead to the events of 2 and 3. Now, arguments could about Athena and others motivating him to do what he did but at the center, he himself was the main reason he went through all that.

 

He just didn't want his army to die. Yeah he wanted to be powerful enough to destroy his enemies but that doesn't mean it's his fault his family was murdered, haha. He didn't consent to that. Everything else was just because he didn't give a shit any more and that was great.

 

I still think the ending of 3 was a total wet fart. Loved the game, still think it's one of the most beautiful games I've ever played and some of the moments in it are some of the greatest of the last generation. That said, it was such a weak note to end that trilogy on and not to mention silly.

 

Devil May Cry 5 was spotted on a Voice actors linkedin :D

 

Arent they adding new characters pretty soon? I can't remember if it was Orchid or Maya. Unless they already did recently.

 

What didn't you like about it? I love that game so much even if it's probably my least favorite of the three. We got to kill Zeus and most of the gods so I was happy.

 

Depending on what it's like I might have preferred DmC2, haha.

 

I hope somethings happening with DMC though either way.

 

I will never understand how this still happens. You would think at some point people will learn to not put things that aren't announced yet on their resumes and it still happens every couple months.

 

It was the bit that insuianted that Kratos didn't die that just irritated me. Of course, if Kratos is in 4, maybe that'd be explained, idk.

 

If Kratos isn't in the new game, it might as well have a different title. Kratos and God of War are tied to each other even if he sucks as a character. Santa Monica could pitch it as a spiritual successor.

 

Why did that irritate you? Yeah that's basically just saying, "we'll be back". I'd bet money on him being in 4.

 

I just wanted him to have peace, man haha. I mean, he went through all that shit. Just let him have his peace that he seeked for so long.

 

Exactly, I just can't imagine a God of War game without him.

 

I just don't know how it could be explained as to why Kratos in Valhalla, fighting gods in a totally different mythology without it sounding goofy or forced. I imagine it'll be spun as him just wanting to rid the world of all gods or something. Actually, if that's the case, make it a whole series of Kratos fighting around the world.

 

Yeah I don't know how they'll spin that without it feeling half-assed.

Maybe it'll just be a reboot?

 

Maybe it could be introduced as something that happened during the same time as the other games, with a new Kratos like character and that'll be why the Norse gods aren't around anymore.

 

I imagined it'll be something like him leaving Greece after killing the gods to just get away and then coming across the Norse gods somehow, maybe because they've heard he killed all the Greek ones? Idk, I have faith it'll be good.

 

I could not care less about the story in a God of War game. I'm just trying to swing some chains of asgard
