I hope he does win a trophy soon. They deserve something from the last few seasons.

 

I mean, I obviously want to win a trophy. But I think a top 4 finish with no trophies is better for the club than a league cup trophy and 5th place. So I still want to get mad if Poch doesn’t prioritize that competition.

 

I mean did you really think that these two clubs operated by the rules? They were obviously cheating.
But everyone told me that it is good for the league if there is a new force that's been chasing for the title. That's what they said about RB Leipzig as well.
No matter how much they bent the rules of German football, in the end it is good that they achieved what they did and maybe can challenge Bayerns dominance, so who cares about the means?
At least some poor ass east German people have something to cheer for and also some idiot Americans who never grasp the general German football culture can have a club to root for. In the end it is just about competitiveness. How you achieve this competitiveness is not important.

Not one of these top clubs gives a single fuck about their fans, they see them as consumers. The ones that pay £50+ or whatever to actually go to the stadium are probably the least respected of the lot - those that watch on television in the millions help them get the £££ and start these bidding wars between the likes of Sky, BT and ESPN are more important to them. I would disagree that it's about competitiveness for those clubs that can get into Europe, it's about the payday the club gets once they qualify - more TV money.

Ask any fan of the top 6 in EPL that spends their hard-earned money to watch their club whether they'd want a European Super League, or fans of City & PSG if they are comfortable with the way their club has acted and 99% would say no chance. The fact is these things happen anyway because it's money that drives every single thing these clubs do.

 

I like to think any such league would fail, particularly if fans of the teams not involved in a Super League didn't care.

 

So none of them would compete in CL? It’d just be their one Super League as their only competition?
