Surprised how much everyone is liking rose lol

 

I can't wait to listen tomorrow morning.

 

Thursday is a big podcast day for me so I decided to let the first listen simmer for a while, when I came back to it I liked Rose a lot more

 

Oh my God this album just punches and punches and punches.

I'm even loving all the singles more than I did. I've heard them enough times that I can sing along now. I'm assuming the rest of the songs will feel the same soon.

 

Happy album release day

 

Hitting the single lull, wanted to pop in to say I Really Like This So Far.

Also, Value is such a killer song and it’s so important to me already

 

Can't wait to dig in.

Very excited for Wake and Namesake, seems like they’re getting a lot of love here. Survive is a certified JAM too

Some thoughts:

I think it’s frontloaded. The back half is good, but I think the front half is pretty perfect.

Rucker was right, the Cope vibes are real. I also feel like I hear some Orchestra in the guitar on a lot of this, so I’m sure people will be happy with that.

I kept thinking the Namesake bridge? was gonna end but it just kept going and my smile kept getting bigger and bigger.

I did not expect the album to close out with a song like Wake but I really love it. That guitar lick is INFECTIOUS.

I really like However Long, but I think that and Namesake should’ve swapped spots.

Overall I liked this a lot more than I thought. Besides Value, the singles didn’t have me incredibly hyped. But this albums great and it’s gonna get a LOT of plays.

 

Uh so Namesake is absolutely phenomenal huh

 

Slightly unrelated, but it made me very happy to see AGO shout out the Noname record on their Instagram story earlier. Hoping it put her in some new ears today

 

Not listening to the singles helped me, by the sounds of this thread. This is a damn fine album, not sure how it compares to the others just yet but it's the usual All Get Out mixed with some mature guitar work and the vocals sound very familiar, which is not a bad thing.

 

Glad I stayed away from the singles for the most part.

This is exactly what I needed from AGO.

 

That high note almost cracking of “here” is so perfect

 

I really didn’t know how it would be received by everyone. It’s a different approach to an album, especially from them, but I still listen constantly and find new things I like even after having it for so long. Like I said about it earlier, it punches hard, quick, then it’s out. It’s funny some are saying it’s front loaded when my favorite tracks are 7, 8, and 10. I’m glad everyone has different favorites too!

 

Namesake and Wake/Trip are definitely two of my favorites on the album, but 6 & 7 killed the momentum for me on the first listen. I’ll see if I like them more with more listens. The first three song stretch is probably my favorite right now.

 

watching them play 17 songs last night was tight as hell. new songs sound great live.

 

im going to be on my honeymoon for the philly show, we are super bummed about it too haha

 

Just received my vinyl in the mail. It’s beautiful.
