Not a bad game for Spurs. Trippier’s mistake was obviously massive but outside of that we looked pretty good. City is just so good. You have to play almost perfect to beat them.

I’m ready for Kane in front of Eriksen Dele Lamela again. That lineup was so good a couple years ago. They’re all finally healthy again.

 

That pitch was embarrassing.

 

Even MLS teams don't have to play with NFL lines all over the pitch anymore.

 

Pogba is hilarious.

 

Sissoko is the most confusing player in soccer. For the most part, he’s looked so good the last few games. You can see how strong and athletic he is and has been controlling the midfield and moving the ball well. But when he gets to the final third all his confidence fades and he becomes so indecisive. I really don’t understand it. His assist in the West Ham game was beautiful so I know he’s capable of figuring it out. But it’s so frustrating to see him make a great play to move the ball down the field only to sputter and give it away at the box.

 

This is partially why Newcastle fans were happy to see him go (amongst other issues). Some days he looked like he'd been cut from the same cloth as Yaya Toure. The rest of the time he just flapped about, like cloth.

 

What makes it even stranger is that Poch absolutely loves him. He always praises Sissoko for how hard he works in training and the commitment he shows to the club and what Poch preaches to the team. It’s really mind-boggling.

 

Hey after the signing and his first season here I'm just happy he's occasionally useful

 

They’re so concerned. Dele just signed a new deal. Eriksen and Toby have opened negotiations again. So concerned.

 

I honestly had no idea Nkoudou was still on Spurs until right now

 

GKN sighting. Foyth with a very good match. Nando just had a nice finish. Good to see them all getting minutes, especially Foyth.

 

Foyth has looked awesome. Hope he gets rotated in more often.

what are the matchups for round 2?

 

East is Crew/RBNY and NYCFC/Atlanta. West is still up in the air but if LA win this it will be SKC-Portland and LA-Seattle. If RSL win it will be SKC-RSL and Portland-Seattle (I think)

 

This LAFC game is nuts. I guess the fans wanted that European atmosphere. Gonna come with a bad reputation in North America.


Also nice to see the you get guys score for Man city during the league cup games.
