I agree that he's a game manager for the most part, but I absolutely have seen him turn it on and win games multiple times. 49ers v Saints in the playoffs is an all time classic that he engineered.

 

I feel like Alex Smith is pretty properly rated. No one really says he’s good or bad, and I think that’s about right

 

I'm surprised, I didn't think he'd be able to do anything with such a mediocre WR corps.

Not on here so much, but I feel like I constantly read people shitting on him and I think it's because fantasy football warps what people think a good or bad quarterback is.

 

Yep, Id pretty much never put him in the top 3 tiers of QBs, but that leaves him in that 12-20 range of what is functionally "replacement level" QBs. Good enough that you want one, but not good enough that you have to have one of them specifically.

 

I think the Saints are going to beat the Rams on Sunday.

Honestly I talked a lot of shit and I’d walk all of it back at this point hahaha

 

I’m not walking anything back, Steelers love to lose to teams we should beat and Fournette will be back

 

Our only chance is if Fournette really tears it up and we give him and Yeldon a combined 38-40 touches. This passing offense can’t beat anybody and is best used as a distraction from the running game.

Basically all we have is speed... and all we try to do is tire defenses out by making them chase receivers sideline to sideline, and spread them out so they can’t keep pressing the box.

That strategy is bullshit and useless if you’re not pounding the ball up the middle with authority on a regular basis.

I'm just giving you a hard time. Steelers can absolutely lose that game.

They have a tough schedule: Ravens, Panthers, Jags, Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Patriots, Saints, Bengals.

I have them beating the Ravens, Jags, Broncos, Raiders, Bengals. They'll need to steal a win from someone else (maybe the Pats this year???)

 

Denver is like the Alex Smith of NFL teams this year

 

You maybe had the Pats if you played them early. I don’t see your DB handling Edelman and Gordon, might be Gordon’s breakout game.

I think you steal a win from the Chargers. 38-35 shootout and Rivers will lose in a very familiar way.

 

I remember the time Gordon put up 200+ yards on the Steelers like five years ago when Weeden was the QB lolol

 

Jags gonna have to beat Pitt and win out in the division to have a shot at anything. We need to come out of the bye week running the ball like crazy so our defense can get back on track.

We have the defense to turn momentum in our favor but it’s not gonna happen unless we control time of possession and call much more balanced plays.

Honestly Houston owns us this year though so I’m not very hopeful. The Texans are scary at DL, DB, and WR. Pulling off a win in Houston would be an upset.
