halfway through new STD. it's ok, but some of the lyrical choices really sour it up

 

i'm generally not really into bands writing songs about being bands but it's especially tiring when it's the only thing an album is about

it sucks too cause musically/melodically, I don't really mind most of the songs and I know they/conley are capable of more

looking back, it's weird how senses fail (and lots of bands in that scene at that time) had songs just straight up about murdering people, probably primarily women

 

They were bad then and they're bad now.

I opened for Senses Fail last year and I don't think they write about all that anymore? I also didn't finish watching much of their set though cause I got absolutely obliterated so...no way to know for sure.
