That's the only part of the song i like. Can't get into the song...

 

Yep. My favorite part. The only part of the song I don't like is the very beginning because Dear Head is awkward and can't not think of the head of a deer

 

isn't it funny, just yesterday some of us said we wanted to hear a scream or passionate yell in one of these tracks... we got one!

 

Duuuude thanks! I was wishing there was a way to just snap my fingers and make all those YouTube videos into a Spotify playlist earlier haha.

 

It just dawned on me that Rabbit Hole's chorus sounds like an Unwritten Law song.

 

Unwritten law, gold finger....can't we just call it blink instead of every band under the sun :)

 

Not sure if this was posted, but here is a pro shot video they took in the BBC studios.

 

Might just be the newness of the song talking, but that hook is embedded in my head more than "Bored to Death" was. It's more my style as far as choruses go.

I love both, but I'm hoping for just slightly more than power chords in some of the other album tracks. Nothing fancy, but there was literally no lead in either of these songs besides the small riff in the beginning of "Bored to Death".

 

I really feel like there will be a decent variety on this album. I'm just assuming since these first two songs have completely different vibes to them.

 

I got attacked for making this same point about the guitars earlier today.

 

I also get a Green Day's Letterbomb chorus vibe to it.

 

I definitely missed a lot of pages today. I have no idea why everyone started posting multiple different bands all day. I'm still pretty much in love with Rabbit Hole to be listening to anything else.

 

Definitely getting a John Feldmann produced blink-182 vibe from this one.

 

I know haha I'm not opening that can of worms (aka falling down that rabbit hole). I'm not asking for any "iconic" or stand out riffs; I'm talking about the layering throughout the song, mostly. I don't know, blink has always been mostly power chords, but there's hardly anything going on back there. I'm sure it's to simplify the mix so the focus shifts to the vocals and drums but still.

 

That basically happened because we were saying Rabbit Hole sounds like a classic pop punk song, which inspired us to post other classics

 

Damn it. I wish I had joined the party then. Work sucks on days like this.

Still, I think it sounds more like new pop punk songs than classics from ten years ago. And I'm totally fine with that. I got to the point where I admit I'll just enjoy anything they release.

 

Is an arpeggio too much to ask?

 

After Mark talked about the arpeggio it's all anyone can talk about.

 

So is the song good?

My mom's been a blink fan since Buddha, and is very supportive of the band now. I showed her Rabbit Hole and she said it sounds like "something off of American Pie". Not sure if that's a good thing or not lmao

 

That's a good thing to me since blink were literally in that movie lol.

 

While far from top tier blink, I still think "Rabbit Hole" is great.

Love Neighborhoods and I don't expect California to top it, but at the very least it has the better throwback song (exactly the type of track this band should avoid, imo). I like it so much more than "Heart's All Gone".

 

Mutt rules.

 

I think it'd be pretty hard for this album to not be better than Neighborhoods. It already is to me just from these two songs.
