Like all rockstar games, I tried to play it but i don't have the self control necessary not to fuck everything up

 

No one will be surprised by this but in the first 15 minutes of RDR I got murdered by the town because I decided to shoot a dog

 

I am so ready to get my cowboy boots and horse in RDR2

 

Will prob play RDR2 in like 3 years

 

Totally disagree with this assessment. Both improvise well and neither is good at scripted football. Bortles actually has a lot of raw talent. That’s never been the issue. This has no correlation with his awful play so don’t think I’m defending him, but he’s a way better athlete than people give him credit for.

I like Bortles off script more than I like Bortles on-script. He is not good at anticipating timing or throwing to an exact spot or any of that pre planned crap. That’s when he throws picks. And neither is Lamar, he holds the ball for ages and his accuracy is SUPER streaky.

What both QB are good at is dodging 2 defenders and throwing to a WR who broke off his route.

We’d have the same problems developing Lamar as we do with Bortles.

We wouldn't have the same problems because Lamar isn't a human bud light. Also, as a runner, Lamar is one of the absolute best dual threat prospects ever. Bortles is efficient but he's not a dangerous runner.

 

Great prospects flame out all the time and comparing what Jackson has shown in a few plays this year to an established starter, albeit not a great one, is crazy.

 

I haven't played RDR but the new one looks insane

I'm playing it for the first time and I enjoy it, doesn't QUITE live up to the hype but it's very fun

 

Would have loved Lamar on a team that gives him creative downfield opportunities in a run heavy offense like the Saints, Patriots, Chiefs, Steelers, Chargers, etc and I like him on the Ravens a lot more than Jacksonville still because they know how to coach. Our dink and dunk shit, combined with how we set up our hot reads to be predictable and easy to intercept, would just limit his potential.

 

Would I like Deshaun Watson more? Yeah cause he’s more accurate and already throws a lot of routes well. Him and Jackson are similar except for that giant difference.

Watson doesn’t like to be patient with the script but damn, he shows he could be so hard to stop if he develops that maturity

 

albeit the worst one in the league. Gimme the prospect with potential over the guy who is bad and will never be better than "well, maybe he doesn't suck thaaaaaaaat much"

Exactly. Lamar Jackson's floor is a dangerously mobile Blake Bortles.

Yeah I wish we took Watson and Kamara too.

But mind you we aren’t getting any of Fournette or Cam Robinson so it’s hard to really debate anything in their favor. Fuckin sucks they’ve both been hurt all year. That’s the biggest reason why we suck right there.

It's not hard to debate that the Jaguars would be better off with Yeldon as a starting RB and a QB who makes teams not wanna stack the box with 934 RBS with a gleeful look of "please for the love of god throw the ball you walking donut"
