The Giants, under this new organization which has been in place for one year, had an excellent draft.

It's not really though. You're saying this thing can't work but it literally has worked. It worked with us. It worked with the Rams. The Giants had an excellent draft this year yet you're pointing to their past organization as if that means anything. You realize this is a new team right??

 

Jags had a defense and maybe you couldn’t call our line “good” but it was at least a better line than NYG. For us, ball control is an obvious strategy for us to use.

And it still might not be a good pick if Fournette and our line keep getting banged up.

They've had less than one calendar year under their current GM, who happens to be Dave Gettleman, who is far superior to Jerry Reese lol. I hate the Giants and even I think this is all far too early and ridiculous lol

 

I didn’t say it can’t work. Putting words in my mouth. I said I don’t trust the Giants to do as well with this as the Rams. I see them closer to the Cardinals and David Johnson’s struggles on a leaky team.

No. Speculative on my part but I think Eason is going to be an absolute stud for Washington next year. They've been held back significantly with a very limited QB with no arm (Browning). Eason has all of the tools you want in a top tier NFL draft QB and I thought he played pretty well as a true freshman for Georgia. I think he's going to solidify himself as one of the top QBs in that 2020 draft.

We will see. Fromm, yeah I am not sure about him since I don't want much Georgia football. Just kinda went off his name.

Yeah Derwin James has been instantly one of SD’s best players. He shows up big time on their game tape. They only missed Eric Weddle for one year.

We’ll see with Fromm, but I’m worried that Kirby/Chaney are going to screw up the development of both him and Fields by trying to make the 2 QB thing work.

The Eason situation reminded me of Zach Mettenberger a few years ago, except that Eason is less of a bonehead. If he’s as good of a prospect as his measurables suggest, he really really shouldn’t have lost that job to Fromm as the incumbent starter. Couple that with him having to sit a year instead of playing and learning/developing, I’m worried that he’s gonna have a fine but not good year next year and then he won’t be an elite prospect.

 

The Eason thing is weird because when he got hurt and Fromm came in and posted the stats he did in route to the Championship game, it's hard to take him out regardless of how much promise or how good you felt Eason is/was.

I know in the time he's been at Washington he's been working with Jake Heaps and Russell Wilson. Heaps is the Director of Russell Wilson's QB program and everything I've seen and heard suggest that he's going to be a star next year. I don't know how well that'll translate to the Pros but if he has the year I (and many others seem to suggest he will next season) then he will surely be a one and done to the draft and will probably be picked in the top half of that first round.

I could be over inflating his stock for the simple fact that I've watched a noodle arm pant shitting QB for the past four years at UW, for sure.
