In 2009, I had seats next to two 70+ year old women.

In 2011, I was surrounded by 10 year olds.

At x games there was literally only 1 crowd surfer and it was still enough for me to record at least half the set. I was expecting madness and was pleasantly surprised.

I think people need to realize that just because they don't personally like this song, doesn't mean that it was the wrong choice. They're not releasing these songs specifically for you.

Dude Ranch and CC are so much more punk than pop-punk songs. Sorry if you disagree

(The reaction to Honey was far greater than the reaction to Blood at their first show the other night. But yeah, not for this thread.)

I'm not much for posting in forums but I do read this Blink thread every single day and have lurked this site and Absolute Punk for years.

I've been a huge Blink fan since Enema, I think I was in the 7th grade when that album dropped. I'm feeling seriously indifferent with their new songs. I absolutely think BTD and RH are great songs for the Genre, but they're not doing it for me as Blink songs. Nothing really has since Untitled.

I agree with this "Riff" talk. My favorite parts of Untitled were the guitar tones (Think Obvious, Stockholm Syndrome), Guitar Riffs/playing style (Feeling This, Asthnia) and overall just how the songs are mixed. I feel like the album was mixed really well and a lot of creative thought went into the overall production.

Matt Skiba is imho a great guitarist and I've loved ALK3 Since "Infirmary", which I think has some very memorable guitar parts. So far with the Blink stuff, I feel he doesn't quite stand out and his guitar playing just sort of blends in/fades to the back. Most of my favorite Blink tracks had guitar parts that really stood out, and for me at least, they were what drew me in. We all relate to music differently so I'm not arguing with anyone that disagrees with me.

To me, these new songs sound like straight forward pop punk. Great ones at that but, I haven't been into this Genre in awhile and was really hoping this new version of Blink would continue to push on creativity and do more than just be super catchy. I know Blink come from being super catchy, but I'd love to see more creativity and edge. I hope the full album release proves to be amazing. I'd really hate to be as depressed as I was the day that Neighborhoods came out.

With all that said, I'd kill for a song on the new record with guitar parts similar to Stockholm Syndrome and Asthnia. Also, I'd really fucking love to hear a new song where mark's vocals come out blazing like they do on Stockholm.

    My two cents,

    Kevin

Rabbit hole was supposed to sound like enema of the state? Doesn't remind me of that album whatsoever. Reminds me more of a produced dogs eating dogs or hearts all gone

  17. Pointing out Blink-182 aren't a punk band isn't trolling. How is this still a thing anyone would think after all these years? Seriously.

I want blink to embrace being a pop-punk band. Absolutely nothing wrong with being pop-punk lol.

I mean, I wonder how people can still look to Blink-182 for a life changing song but it's apparently a thing.

Yea, most of the responses to this song were definitely not what I was expecting. We got a really good lead single in Bored to Death which was a little more on the serious side and now we got a really nice, faster paced song in Rabbit Hole. Both are extremely catchy imo. What more were people expecting?

It feels like the Don't Leave Me of this album. I love it but I'm sure it won't be close to my favorite on here. I thought it was a good 2nd song to put out there *shrugs*
