    This thing is just top to bottom absolutely ferocious. Immediately my favorite of theirs since AoM and could even see it having a fighting chance of dethroning that with time. Wow.

    This band is so meh to me. And that doesn’t change with this record. I loved a couple songs off the last album, but the full things didn’t do much for me. Pitchfork way overhypes them in my opinion.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

    I'd put Attack on Memory and Here and Nowhere Else up there in terms of albums released this decade, but sadly thought that Life Without Sound was a bit of a misfire. After one listen to this it's good to see they have righted the ship. First track sets the tempo perfectly, and "Dissolution" is probably the big standout for me. Excited to listen more.

    I love Life Without Sound but I feel like their core fan base and even themselves probably don't like it and now it will be mostly ignored :tear:
