The beginning to "True Ugly" was what sold me.

 

True Ugly has some of my favorite verses and bridge, but the chorus isn't my favorite. Still great though, mainly because of the "break break breaking up" part.

 

"The Pavillion" finally hit me yesterday. What a beast of a chorus.

"Lucky Stars" does nothing for me right now, except the amazing solo. I do sorta wish the record ended with "Old Flames".

Really coming around to love this record.

 

I love it all but from love protocol to the end the record really really hits a sweet spot

 

"Old Flames" isn't good – it's got too many of the corny elements and the excessive 'la la la's don't help. "Lucky Stars" isn't bad, but it's just there. I would have ended it after "It Walks Among Us", but that song doesn't really feel like a closer.

Old Flames is fantastic and does a great job as being the penultimate track

 

The chorus of The Gutter is the best thing ever and it was a religious experience to shout it in London on Tuesday. Old Flames also the perfect pre-encore song. Will never stop loving seeing them live, so much fun

 

Old Flames is basically a modern 33 and that slaps because 33 is a GOAT Coheed tune

 

I don’t need this old flames-bashing negativity in my life.. I’m just gonna put fingers in my ears and sing NAAAAH NANA NAH NAH NAAAAAH. Song is an absolute jam.

 

I was at the show on Tuesday and I back this. The Gutter goes straight in as top tier Coheed, it was absolutely unreal.

 

I like it, but I wish they'd maybe cut about 30 seconds worth of the "na na na" off the end, and added one more chorus. But, that's nitpicking. What I really want is another minute or two of Lucky Stars with more strings and such.

 

The Gutter is the only song I think could be longer, since we only hear that chorus 3 times, but I think that's part of what makes the song so good.

 

The end of Gutter when he sings "Mother come on out, show me what the world is all about. We'll be counting on you" is probably my favorite moment on the whole album.

I wish I liked The Gutter or Old Flames as much as everyone else here

Fortunately I like Toys and Love Protocol as much as everyone else here

 

I love a nice mashup of GA1 and SSTB or as I like to call it, Love protocol. That bridge is so good

 

I hope the documentary parts they have been releasing aren't like only 5 parts, each 2-3 minutes long.

Yeah that's what prompted me to say that lol. Like what are they going to do release ten little clips that like? Seems like a waste of energy to film and get talking heads. But who knows how it will end up. We are kind of spoiled with that stuff from them IMO.

 

I still never skip over the Prologue on this album and it still gives me chills every damn time. Especially the "Five Houses of the Star Supremacy" part. So awesome.
