I’ve liked the band for years but it wasn’t until like two years after ILIWYS came out that I became a total stan

 

The fact I'm going to see No Rome just blew my fucking mind.

 

and if they listen to it, they might actually learn something for a change.

 

I even checked their site and livenation just to make sure it was real.

 

2013 was the first time I heard "Chocolate" in my friends car and I remember asking her who this was. She was never the type to fangirl about anything so when she who it was, with no excitement.....I didn't really give it a thought.

forward to 2015 and I heard "Robbers" for the first time and cried like a fucking child.

I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to this band that I love so damn much.

 

the people who have given me the most shit for loving this band all came from absolutepunk/this website. people i know IRL either love the band or like the few songs theyve heard by them or just dont know them at all, very little if any hate.

 

at the same time no one has an obligation to like this band. the people who would always tell me they're trash and a joke when they know exactly what this band has meant to me and gotten me through, yeah i fucking hate those people and dont give a fuck if they come around some day, they can get fucked forever. but if people didnt like the first or second album but are into the singles, thats a good thing, so long as they werent a jerk about it before or are apologetic if they were

 

um, do you remember my FOB phase on AP? I know the feeling.

 

I thought they sucked ass when I only knew Chocolate and didn’t give them a proper chance until they ruled my life in 2016

 

I used to ride my bike through the woods and listen to the EPs on repeat. That will always stick with me. I also had a business trip to Rochester (5 hours in a van with some coworkers) around the time the first record came out and listening to it over and over again made me obsessed with it.

 

I'm just thankful for this band being in my life period. I wouldn't have gotten through the last year an a half without them. When my grandma passed last July, I finally felt what Matty was singing in the song "Nana" and now I cannot get through that song without getting super emotional. I have never connected to a song in that way EVER in my life.

 

finally watched the music video and now my life is ruined !!!!

 

They sure know how to bring a song to life, that's for sure.

 

i don’t post here often but I just wanna say i’ve been ruthlessly fighting for this band to get recognition for years and it’s tiring to hear people bash them tbh. BUT my girlfriend and I are flying from Florida to see them in January FOUUUR times in the UK! so stoked and I feel like people here would appreciate that haha

 

This is the one good thing about having no friends.

i always put a busy block on my work calendar so I can leave and listen to the premieres lol


i've turned down meetings for this........

 

I'm really trying not to listen to it.
I caved and listened to Sincerity is Scary once or twice when it was released, but have pretty much forgotten what it sounds like, haha.
Hoping I can stay strong this time. Only about a month away!
