Unlike BTD, I like that Matt's vocals are distinguishable from Mark's on this song. I have no issues with Matt on this track.

 

I guess it's like, I know blink can write a song like this in their sleep. It's not really bad, but what is there to be excited about? It's not nearly as strong as their best faster/pop punky songs, so if this made the cut and is being touted as one of the stronger songs on California, that's a bummer for me. Why not be exciting and try something new?

They are definitely worlds better with a producer though. Feldman and the band have done very good work on every track so far sonically.

 

I've listened to the official version of the song now like 6 times in a row. Haha. It's so good!

I hope we get a song that is all Skiba on the choruses as just mark in the verses.

I like GOTD more than this song

 

I'd imagine there will be at least one like that on the record.

 

For real. It's a straight up pop-punk song that sounds like a better attempt at "Heart's All Gone" (or another song in that vein). It isn't "Love is Dangerous," so I'm pretty damn pleased.

Fair, I like it and Bored to Death more than anything post-untitled. Maybe After Midnight is up there.

But I really love untitled, so that's where I'm at haha.

Hmm. Not sure about it. I like BTD a lot more. I like parts of it but a lot of it seems like it's missing something. If it was anyone but blink I can't say I'd be repeating it so much and giving it a chance. There's a fine line between being simple or straightforward and just bland. Not to say I HATE it or anything it's just not grabbed me like BTD.

For fun I googled the lyrics again ... I truly hate that song. It's everything wrong with Tom and that era of Blink in one song.

Are people so concerned with the style of the song that they're not catching on to how catchy and good the melodies are in this song? It flows so well and it's so easy to listen to. I personally don't care what style any given song is. If it has a great, catchy melody, chances are I'm gonna like it.

 

I like Mark's contributions to GOTD quite a bit. His harmonies are wonderful.
