what time is the Travis interview?

 

My initial reaction was that I heard some Goldfinger melodies in this song. I hear a little bit of a Blink vibe in the bridge but overall, this doesn't have that classic Blink feel to me. There are already 4 songs that I'll be skipping. Bummed.

And "haunted house" takes me out of the song each time.

 

was that the last one? I didn't like it. Sounded like they were trying to be the Used. That band could never settle on a sound.

 

That's probably my favorite song from that tone or style in a long time

The very simple and basic chorus harmony? That's not distinctly any band, and more All than Goldfinger. If Feldy had nothing to do with this album that band name isn't coming anywhere near this song.

 

Also, these comments prove that it's impossible for blink to please everyone with just one style. Clearly, most blink fans are split between the classic style like this song, or the more serious style like BTD

well, yeah, i know that, but i really like all 4 of those songs haha. i can't imagine disliking all 4 songs released so far to the point that i'd feel like i'd need to skip them.

Until Blink starts singing about pizza and sexting 16 year old girls, I ain't about to lump them alongside current pop punk bands

 

I get a heavy All/Descendents feel. Just feels like one of the more obvious exercises in reaching back to their roots. Very simple in execution and it works.

 

I wish Matt would have gotten more aggressive on that last "I won't go down that fucking...." because his vocal tears when he gets into that range give me life. It's bordering, you can hear it, but he didn't follow through.
