I actually thought the song was alright. I wonder how many music videos we are going to get with X White Celebrity As Rivers.

 

This is good and I’m here for it

 

Went back and listened to PD again. Man that record is pretty solid! Still can’t get into Beach Boys though. “QB Blitz” is damn good though.

 

I'm fairly certain that Jones Beach is considered to be the NYC market, booking-wise.

 

Urgh that makes me so angry! It's over 40 miles from the city and there's no straight shot public transportation to get you there.

Nostalgia aside, I think it might be my favorite of theirs. I’ve never not liked a Weezer record, and Blue will always be the album that is most important to me, as it’s what made me discover music. But Pacific Daydream is so, SO good. I think it’s essentially flawless.

 

Yeah, I think White and Pacific Daydream are shamelessly my two favorite Weezer records.

I do want some Pineaplemon though, that sounds delish, cinnamon and pineapple are so great together in drinks

 

Love that song. The album gets a lot of hate but one or two tracks aside I do enjoy it. I do feel I loved White and EWBAITE more but it's not the drop off others imply.

I cannot gel with this new song though.

 

Man, there will never be a band I love and hate as much as Weezer! Loved EWBAITE and White, most of PD and I can’t even tell where I stand on this.

 

I was expecting far worse from the way y'all were describing this haha, I love that Rivers is forever unclassifiable

 

Out of curiosity, is Pacific Daydream generally well-received among fans outside of this site?

 

They’re both amazing, and are the two Weezer records I want to listen to most.

Pacific is low-mid tier to me, never quite got past "White Album, but not as good" for me

 

Song is much better than I had expected, given some of the comments. Def reminds me of Beck, like someone else said.

Black Album is gonna be a fucking trip.

 

I hated Pacific Daydream. Only song i enjoyed was Happy Hour, but I honestly haven't gone back to that album since last November.

Can't Knock the Hustle, on the other hand, is a fucking jam!

 

That's a shame. It's such a solid, weird little pop record that I've come to love/spin weekly. Interested in hearing how the direction of this album will respond to that

 

White Album is genuinely one of my favorite albums. Pacific Daydream is like a 6/10.
