Like most lists, there are a bunch of mentions I agree with and a bunch I do not along with a handful I was able to add to my watchlist so that's good

Can't help but feel they are trying to be edgy by not even including Hereditary

I like that list but I'm surprised how many of those I've never seen before.

LOL at Halloween II in the top 10. No.

II guess I should give more Rob Zombie movies a chance. I keep scrolling past House of 1000 Courses and Lords of Salem in my queue

I've only seen The Devil's Rejects, didn't care for it

I tried to rewatch (I actually can't remember if I had seen it) Zombie's H2 but it was so gory I had to stop at the van scene. I was watching alone and I'm not great about watching horror alone so I'll try again when I have some friends to watch with, haha.

Halloween (2007) actually has some really beautiful shots that remind me of the original. Just watched House of 1,000 Corpses for the first time the other day and enjoyed it more than i was expecting too. Watched about half of The Devils Rejects as well but just couldn't get into it, maybe trying to do a back to back viewing was just an overload for me

Despite most audiences hating it, it was well received in some circles with a few critics referring to it as a masterpiece (just for some context)

House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects are great.

I know most other people feel differently, but the other Zombie films didn't do much for me.

    31 was real bad.

3 of his films are in the list. All are deserving. He's one of the better horror auteurs in the past 20 years

pretty cool to see Revenge in there. Shudder is doing pretty well with their exclusives

Mayhem and Prevenge were also good

I forgot about that Maniac remake. It's pretty damn gnarly.

I am not sure why last night I sat down to eat and put on Terrifier. First act of violence made me not wanna eat lol.

Is there any really graphic instances of rape/sexual violence in the movie? Been wanting to watch this and Extremity but don't wanna put either on until I know about that for my partner's sake

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

Unfortunately can't properly vouch for Terrifier. I had to stop it once it got rolling about 30 minutes in because my girlfriend got home and scary clowns are too much for her. There's a lot of face mauling/stabbing in the first 30 minutes though.

For what I saw of the movie, the practical effets were badass. Can't wait to finish it.

also, I watched Strangers: Prey At Night last night and I actually thought it was better than the first

Where the first was just mediocre, the acting/script in this were outright bad enough for it to actually be fun and some of the cinematography was really surprisingly good with some neat Carpenter-esque tracking shots.

I don't know if I'd say it's better than the first, but it was definitely fun. That Total Eclipse of the Heart scene was so good

I guess that's the chief difference. The original was dark and cynical, whereas this one was just murdery fun

Yeah, different strokes and all, but I recently re-watched the original and it did not hold up for me at all so I was pleasantly surprised with the tonal shift and I feel like it was more impressive from a technical/form standpoint

Not to give it my highest recommendation or anything, but you could do much worse if you're looking for a good time with an 80 minute mainstream horror flick

Wolf Creek is good. I wouldn't ever put it that high but it's good

We were all talking about Final Destination recently, and this video analysis popped up on my youtube home screen. I kinda wanna rewatch the movies.

Is The Descent not on that list, or did I just miss it? I haven't seen it in a while, but I feel like it deserves to be on there.

FD series is super fun. I think even my girlfiend (who is a champ through a lot of horror movies I want her to watch) would enjoy them.

Probably late to the party in this thread, but Danny McBride is a writer for the new Halloween? Interesting.
