I hope running shortcuts from the watch works faster in upcoming software updates. It works...just slow.

A few people at work have upgraded to the Series 4 and im very jealous. May pull the trigger sooner than later. For those that were Series 3 Cellular and switched, is it worth it?

Definitely the ugliest notch out there. I guess I get it with the stereo speakers, but I still hate it lol

The thing still has a chin so the notch is pointless and ugly lol.

We moved in July and can only do so much smart home stuff because we're renting, so I decided to buy Hue bulbs for every light in the apartment. My wallet hates me, but I don't have to get up to turn the lights off so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this is me. can’t do much but the bulbs or a smart plug but damn do I love this stuff. I can’t wait to walk into my apt after work and have the lights already on.

  11. Ugh I came into work to discover someone used my edit bay and ... shudder ... minimized all my windows. Does anyone else absolutely hate when people do that? ⌘H til I die. It bugs me so much that if I tab into safari for instance, it doesn’t come front and center when minimized.

Also, I LOVE my smart plugs. Wish my nest worked with Siri but we got a free google home for somethingorother so it works that way. Looking at adding some smart wall switches for a couple rooms and maybe another plug or two.

  12. Windows user! haha.

Most people I know that come from Windows: 1) Keep their windows maximized, 2) minimize them to the dock.

I'm a Mac user at home and a windows user at work. The number of times I hit control H and have it bring up my history instead bums me out.

  14. Ya my home system is a windows rig and I do the same. It also have some NVIDIA software overlay that comes up if I ⌘Z or ⌘+ too many times. Haha.

That’s the crazy thing, these people have been off windows for 20+ years at this point. Post production people, mostly the older ones, just still live in those old habits.

That's definitely me! I even downloaded a third party program that let's me snap windows to the sides of my screen or snap to maximize depending where I drag it like in Windows, heh.

I don't even know what ⌘H does? Would have to check when I get home haha. I used Windows until I was 18, stopped using it for 5 years, and am back to using it daily at work.

  17. Heh. So funny. Yeah, I use a window manager, Moom, but I use it to assign shortcuts so I can hit a key combination and all the windows I have open go to the places I like them. So when I'm posting news I hit a key combo and my RSS reader and web browser line up next to each other. Or a different key combo puts my webbrowser, text editor, and dev tools in the places I like.

It hides the windows of the front app. So, if you have a bunch of safari windows open, or just one, you can hit it and it'll "hide" from the screen so you can see what's behind it. Instead of minimizing or closing it. Or, if you hit command+option+h, it'll hide everything else and just show you the windows from the foremost app.

Hidden windows can be re-activated via command tab, if you use that, whereas minimized windows can't. And if you're using the dock to open it back up after, it's faster.

I use it all day to keep things organized on the screen. Currently have a web browser open, and Coda next to it, but then I'll wanna check on Tower to commit something ... click it on the dock, commit, and then command H to 'hide it' while I keep working.

    Hey. Supporter

I just upgraded from an iPhone 7 to the X. Thinking about getting a wireless charging pad for my office. Does anyone have one they recommend?

  19. Has anyone had Wi-Fi issues with Mojave?

Sometimes when I open my laptop (2012 Air), the status bar WiFi symbol shows up grayed-out with an X through it, and when I click on it, it says "no hardware detected." Resetting the PRAM seems to fix this for a few hours, but it always comes back. Never had an issue like this before, started happening the day after I updated to Mojave and has progressively become more prevalent in the weeks since. Ran a hardware test that came up negative across the board and I take very good care of my computer, so I'm convinced it's a software issue. Submitted a bug report and have spent a lot of time on the phone with support / in the Apple store trying to solve it. Was wondering if anyone in here has had similar problems.

Maybe someone here can help. I've been wanting a Macbook for like ten years, but they are just so expensive. Are those refurbished Groupon models worth it? There is a sale for a Macbook Air 2013 A Grade Refurbished for $529.99 right now.

I don't need it for any serious editing or anything. I just want a reliable laptop and I haven't purchased one since 2009 (a Dell, which became unusable after a few years)

is it directly from groupon or is it a third party? i'd also check out the apple refurbished. i've bought one from the apple store and felt like a brand new macbook

I assume it's third party but it doesn't really say. I checked the Apple refurbished site but they don't have any Macbook Air currently.

Since posting this, the price has gone down to $469.99. I am almost ready to just buy it lol
