Idk once I had that moment the song just sounds perfect to me now. This record has REALLY grown on me. Now my number two of the year I think

Fantastic record. Showed off a lot of cool and different sounds on the album. Very impressed. I've been listening to it so much I forgot to say how much I like it. So many different songs stuck in my head.

The Window has become my clear favorite and i'm super bummed I didn't get to hear it live...
Listened to Wake Up 20 times now and still don't like it.

Def going to be a Top 5 AOTY for me

The verse riff is totally Colour Revolt. That's what Riley referenced too. The rest of the song drifts away from it.

it was SO good. I was so surprised, I had never seen/heard them play that song live. I was in legitimate shock, I forgot the words and even how the song began, I didn't even realize it was In Years to Come! I listened to the original, and it's crazy how much his voice has changed...then again that was 15 years ago...but to see how much his voice has evolved, how much they've evolved as a whole...while Artist is still my favorite from them (it came out just as I started playing music), TBE is inching towards the top

It's a fantastic record in its own right. It was my AOTY last year. Up there with SSPU but it beat it out. Fantastic album. Dustin rules.

I go back and forth between them. I rate them both the same but would have to go with Beggars if forced. It feels wrong to rank their records because I love them all so much.

This is up there for me. Top three for me in no order are:

Aesop Rock - The Impossible Kid
    The Hotelier - Goodness
    Thrice - TBEITBN

Production is tasty. I'm not familiar with this producer. He seemed like a chill dude in the behind the scenes videos. I need to look more into what he has done.

Yeah what else has this guy engineered? I really enjoyed those studio updates

  21. This has really grown on me. I liked it on my first listen but now I appreciate it for what it is: a really strong rock record with immaculate production. I still don't like Stay With Me, but I might eventually! I'll hopefully pick this up tonight. :-)

Weird thought: I don't like "Anthology" in their current set. I associate that song with such a sad time (their temporary farewell). The song literally sounds like their swan song every time I hear it. So, to play it in a time of renewal and rebirth just doesn't work for me.

    Horrendous Space Kablooie

Anthology is the weirdest song. I don't dislike it, but it sounds like it belongs on Illusion of Safety. I guess the throwback sound makes sense in the greater context of what the song means, but it never made much sense to me amidst the rest of Major/minor.

Agreed! Switching it out for Yellowbelly or Promises would be nice.
