She used the term “high hopes” before Maren came out. My wife looked at me and said “BRENDON?” So we may have been a little disappointed lol. The show was incredible though.

Omg white horse is such a good surprise song tho. Also I always get jealous of surprise guests I mean I know Taylor does it a lot so the odds are good, but I don't think I've ever been to a show with a surprise guest.

The setup/production for getaway car was so damn good live. After seeing it it’s now my favorite song on the album.

Glad she finally realize speaking up for our rights are more important than more millions for her and she did the right thing. Even tho she will continue making millions anyway lol. But I do hope others follow suit and speak up. I need everyone to rile up and look past their apathy and vooooote

Very happy she’s speaking out, wonderful way of using her platform to evoke change. I just gained a lot of respect for her.

Omg @ all her fans saying they never cared about voting before but they're gonna be voting now. Simultaneously glad and horrified. But for real when I was like 13 so much younger than voting age but still, my fave musicians speaking out politically made me pumped to vote and make a difference one day so hopefully this springboards that

  15. I'm simultaneously glad she spoke up, ready to throw the whole internet away over the slew of predictable and bad takes on this from non MAGA folks who could save characters by just typing "I hate TS no matter what tbh" and sitting here thinking how this "bombshell" isn't even remotely surprising if you paid attention to her over the past few years.

i’ve been meaning to tell you

I’m not surprised she’s a Democrat, I am surprised she posted about it so publicly and thoroughly. Good for her.

Yeah I feel like it's a natural assumption that her white feminism thing and her friendship with Lena Dunham, welcome to ny reference, plus the fact that she seems like an empathetic decent person, plus other things I've prob forgotten, etc indicates she's not repub I feel like magas just wanna excuse to drag a woman for speaking up or they're just dumb idk it's a toss up. I think she likes to protect her coins a lil more than I jive with but I mean I'll take that over the alternative. With everyone disappointing lately I'll take someone who isn't at the moment. Like the bar is low so anyone willing to back handspring (or somersault idk gymnastics terms) over that is good with me rn

she quietly donated a quarter million to Kesha

  20. Yeah, she's been quietly letting her money talk for years and given that Kesha's mom was the one who spoke on that I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot more in this vein we haven't heard about... folks just don't like anything that implies she might not be the devil :crylaugh:

It's also good to see her publicly distance herself from white feminist ideals, intentionally or otherwise. That's been a legitimate critique in past years.

Also speaking of feminism the Pete Davidson article that was mistakenly posted in place of the Taylor insta post earlier is gross. He is gross. Tay teach ari how to say boy bye and burn them in ur wake!!! I think that's what the saying is idk!!

I think it's interesting that pretty much the first thing she does as a free agent is post about this stuff. I wonder if there's truth to the rumors about a "morality clause" in her Big Machine contract.
