I think there's a big difference between beating and spanking but I can never tell what others mean when they discuss it. Getting spanked was a reason not to do a thing. Getting beat would be a reason to call the cops.

my step mother has a sweet back hand. Bitch slapped me across the face because she was yelling at me about something and I was 19 and didn't give a fuck what she said. She started swearing at me and my then 8 year old brother was standing there. I said "can you please stop swearing, Eric is behind you"....so she slaps me? I will never understand that. Re corporal punishment: my mother hit us with a broom, threw a glass at my foot, causing me to get stitches, punched me, etc. I don't support it, but I understand why it happened. I don't consider it being abusive or anything like that.

I think last night is when I officially realized I was "too old" when it came to trying to drive back after concerts. I was dead twenty minutes into a nearly three and a half hour drive.

 

This is why everyone should live in a major urban area

 

Next month I'm going to Brand New in Dallas and then going to the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy concert in Houston the next afternoon and I'm pretty sure I will have to nap while driving

 

It's not my fault nobody ever comes to Knoxville.
