I don't think they'll sack him just yet. At the end of the day, that wasn't a terrible result. If we'd been hammered things might be different and the position untenable, but 0-0 against a talented side doesn't make things worse than the previous results. Plus we showed a bit of fight.

Who would take over too? I would have liked Tuchel, but he's untouchable in PSG now. People are saying Jardim possibly, but I don't know much about him. I do not want Zidane under any circumstances. He might be saved for a while longer just due to a lack of suitable replacements.

If you want a laugh then you should look at Scottish football's scheduling of the League Cup semi-finals. It's scheduled for the weekend after a European midweek (bad planning from start from SPFL) and Celtic & Rangers both being in Europa League meant they couldn't play until Sunday at earliest.

When the draw happened Celtic got drawn v Hearts and Rangers v Aberdeen. These are normally both played at Hampden in Glasgow. SPFL spoke to Police and agreed that they would be held on the same day, same groud, hours apart. Rangers v Aberdeen at 12pm and Celtic v Hearts at 7.45pm. Que onslaught of bad press about it. Aberdeen complain due to travel options for their fans (first train gets in to Glasgow from Aberdeen at 12.15pm). Hearts complain about it. Police federation then complain about it.

They then discuss a rethink and hope to move one of the ties to Edinburgh's Murrayfield. Primarily a rugby stadium owned by Scottish Rugby who also have reservations about this. Hearts being based in Edinburgh meant that you'd think that Celtic v Hearts would be moved should Scottish Rugby agree to it. However Celtic have written to SPFL to say that it is unfair to automatically assume we would move our game there to accommodate everyone and want this to be drawn out of a hat to see who plays where.

These games are in less than 3 and a half weeks. Welcome to Scottish Football.

It's the type of debacles that if had been happening in England, Spain or Germany that would possibly be the end of whoever was in charge but nope, not here. We're fine with this level of incompetence. The problem starts with the scheduling of these in the first place following a midweek Europe calendar. Easily avoidable yet Neil Doncaster (in charge of SPFL) said this is the 'consequence' of having two teams in Europe. Negative spin on it as always. Rotten.

They cut to commercial 41 minutes into the half during the United match yesterday. Commercials played for a solid two minutes, then went back to the match. Obviously nothing had happened, and it was perhaps more interesting watching the ads than United play, but crazy.

Apparently United have the most points out of the English teams in the CL so far. Your pointless, and surely useless stat of the day :crylaugh:
