Well, if someone judges you for your profession at least you can quickly put them in the discard pile and then when someone does come along who is repectful about it you'll know they're at least somewhat decent...if there is a silver lining there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm in the die alone club tho. Being single is gr8 (for the most part).

 

For sure and most guys that have judged me out of the gate poorly have been guys I wouldn't wanna date in the first place, even if I didn't dance anymore I wouldn't want someone who didn't support the profession that paid my bills, put my clothes on my back, and supported myself so yeah, you're totally right and that's what the girls in my dancer group on FB would say too so I guess I'm just going to go for it, it's kind of like jumping into a cold pool but I guess what I wonder is, if they ask over text do I tell them or wait to tell them in person?

Honestly it is, I like being selfish at times and having the ability to grow and find myself and these two years being single has been the first time in my life where I've been single without jumping from long-term relationship to long-term relationship but I do get lonely sometimes.... I just miss having that best friend that you also really love and care about ya know?

 

I suppose that's your call! Whatever you feel most comfortable with ya know? It's a little interesting to me cause I guess it doesn't even seem like a big deal lol (your profession I mean. Like, who cares). But again, on the bright side, if they do ask via text and you tell them you can gauge their reaction and potentially save yourself a wasted evening haha.

Totally. I've been single for just over two years now and it's been quite a learning experience. There are little things I miss here and there, like you said, and it can get lonely at times but at this point I kinda forget what it's like to even be in a relationship. I'm definitely not ready to explore that anytime soon. Not sure if I ever will be. Not cause I'm bitter or afraid of getting hurt I just like the freedom that my current lifestyle allows

 

It really isn't but trust me I have had reactions that were pretty bad but I've also had fine reactions, it just makes dating a little harder sometimes but I guess like you pointed out because the disrespectful people just show themselves faster than they may normally. That's also a super great idea, especially with online dating because it's not like you are invested in that person right away anyway.

It's crazy how fast time flies, sometime in the middle of this month will mark two years, I left a very toxic relationship and it felt really good so I'm grateful I'm not in that and I know what I deserve this time around.

I like the freedom too, I think I'm just thinking the grass is greener on the other side and it very well may not be but who knows! Just gonna go with the flow, meet people, and try to have fun, I'm super jaded at this point though.

Haha I thought about that, but I had a roommate who was always staying with her boyfriend so I only saw her like every 3 weeks. Some people are just busy as well.

I was that annoying roommate who never left. My roommate thru most of college was cool and we'd hang out but I'm pretty sure the roommate I had for like one quarter my senior year thought I was a serial killer except the worst serial killer ever who can't kill cause they don't leave their room.

Just the way this place is set up we barely see each other. It's more like having a studio than renting a room in an apartment. It's a really odd setup.

No, but it's set up so that there is direct access to the units from the outside so you don't really ever have to pass through the main area. It's very bizarre but I actually really like it. I never see anyone
