But for real, that’s when you can really do something meaningful on a day to day basis. Real life is such a drag that I can’t drudge up the will all that often to consider people or animals that have it worse.

My school gets so little support for our 5th graders who desperately need it, so I’d probably quit being a classroom teacher and offer to volunteer or work next-to-nothing as a 5th grade support and try to help stop the endless sea of kids falling through the cracks in the system and getting left behind. It’s a simple fact that data driven instruction forces you to have to give the majority of your attention to your middle of the road kids in order to improve teacher scores, rather than focus on the top or bottom performers as well. It’s a fucking sick system.

Look all these dreams simply stifled by lack of money. I know it can't buy contentedness, but it can certainly help you on your way to fulfill your dreams

It can't buy happiness but it can remove so many stressors that it virtually can.

 

One last thing, if I were rich I would eat so healthy. That would be the biggest plus. That and actually having health insurance. That would be nice

That's mainly what I mean by working on myself. Like if i didn't have to work for 8-9 hours a day I could motivate myself to go to the gym and take my time cooking or eating real food instead of cheap/free garbage.

 

This conversation has really motivated me to actually do something about the things that are holding me back.

First thing tomorrow I'm going to wake up early, make my kids breakfast and go buy a lottery ticket. Tomorrow is day #1 of trying to win the lottery.

 

the healthiest my wife and I are all year is my summer break, because I sit at home and meal plan, spend a good portion of the afternoon doing prep work and have a sweet meal ready when she gets home

I just need to find a way to make summer break my everyday life

Oh yeah definitely. The only thing that keeps me from being healthy and in great shape is the fact that after work/school/homework I'm just fucking exhausted.

I actually had a salad today at lunch. Still had fries and nuggets but with a salad instead a burger.

But then I drank a giant regular coke because they didn't hear me say zero.

Same dude. I was at the gym 5-6 days a week and cooking almost all my own meals during the summer. Now school is in session and I'm back to being human garbage :(

 

It just seems impossible with my current responsibilities trying to fit gym into there. I'd have to wake up at 5 to get there work out come home by 630 when my wife leaves for work. Then I'm on all day getting kids ready taking them to school working for 8 hours picking them up making dinner (although lately it's been too much taco bell for them) then putting them to bed at 8. I'd really love having a home gym. Again money is the obstacle for that.

 

Separate times but maybe Wendy and Sonic are communicating about me.

Today I had

Half size spicy chicken salad fries and nuggets at Wendy's for $2.

Then I got a route 44 drink and medium Tots (shared with kids) for free. And they didn't redeem the coupon so I can just keep doing that forever. Send help or ketchup.

 

Is a route 44 drink 2/3 as big or good as a Route 66 drink?
