Anyone have an issue with getting the zip file from our emails for this? I'm getting an error that the server where the page is located isn't responding.

I'm on my sixth or seventh listen now I think. Just some more word vomit as I get out some ideas that I don't think are right at all, but what come to mind as I listen

This has been probably even more immediate for me than Pale Horses was
Julia and Hydra are just as great on their 30+ listen as they were hearing them on the album for the seventh time
Flee, Thou Matadors? a companion song to Lilac Queen/Werewolf King? in that it's about him and keisha's conversations?
moving away from my family for the first time and starting a new relationship, 2,459 miles has made me well up every time
Wendy & Betsy a song about his cats fight? lol
Michael, Row Your Boat Ashore's last verse sounds to me like it's a conversation between aaron and mike with mike catching him up on what's new with all his old family and friends back home and aaron telling mike about his mental health

    Someday i'll find me

I could write a dissertation of sorts with my thoughts on these lyrics haha. I'll answer this when I get off work

i like bands who can't sing good Supporter

its wild to me that they pretty much write all the songs instrumentally before aaron puts any words/vocals down. the songs feel to cohesive for it to be that way.

glad aaron got some of his songwriting on this record though (iirc he wasn't able to contribute anything to pale horses beyond lyrics)

"Never had lyrics and never got recorded. Only made it as far a pre-production. The demo was called Happy Rippers."

I know it’s intentional but goddamn do I wish the vocals were higher in the mix in a lot of places.

so my first 3 listeners were with my monitor headphones, and I felt the vocals were mixed great, I could hear a ton of parts and I LOVED the mix. Then I got in my car and was like WOW, I did not realize they were this buried at all. Certainly interesting.

We reach for the longest shadow

Noticed this when I went from listening with good headphones to listening on my way home from work as well.

I prefer Winter Solstice EP version but it would never fit in the context of the album.

There's lots to love here, the first half is so immediate. A lot to dig into the back half.

  16. I reckon (and my review says as such) that people new to the band should start with this record and, depending on their preference, start with 'Julia' or 'Winter Solstice'. There's so much going on here that there are two distinct avenues of the band's sound to be explored within [Untitled] alone.

I gotta buy this album when I get home from work

from the bandcamp the stream sounded good in my headphones

but then I took a drive from work for lunch and it sounded muddled and boomy. I think it was a internet/stream quality problem.

not sure, It's definitely a better headphones album. I felt that way about the amulet as well. I bet it sounds great on vinyl as well.

I'm listening to whatever was sent out as the download for the preorder and it sounds fantastic, so I guess that's better than whatever is on Bandcamp?

This is a true statement! The power is off the charts, and takes me back to my most strenuous battles.

  22. I think that was the most moving first-listen experience I've had with an album in all of 2018.

This album definitely sounds better on headphones, listening to speakers on my computer and the vocals are definitely more buried here then in my ears.
