I feel too young for this shit. I've barely heard of Shinedown, but I've known about Papa Roach and AA since I was in Middle School, and still hear them on the radio all the time.

Shinedowns biggest hits were 10 years ago, and they've been a band for almost 20 years. I'd bet money that you've heard Second Chance and just didn't know it was them

Asking Alexandria both not being metalcore and getting played on the radio is proof that I am out of touch and old

Oh this is def the last year, when you just don’t replace an arena size headliner and fail to address any of it, and still advertise them on the groupon you put up. They never addressed Bad Wolves dropping either. This is def it, they basically stole money and ran on this one. I don’t feel as bad as people that bought lawn. But the people who paid over a hundred bucks for seats to see A7X got screwed big time.

I think AA is a far better Hard Rock band than they ever were a Metalcore band. The newest album was good. Their first two albums were absolutely awful. I never listened to the two in the middle of that.

Asking played well at Self Help, but God, all of their music is so, so bad.

I mean I've heard a few of their songs, but only because I used to have a friend/band member that liked them. (She freaked and cut ties with me and all her friends so that left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to that band)

And not even like metal/rock radio, like alt/indie radio (The stations lovelytheband and Cage The Elephant get played on)

I liked the singles off the new AA album. They did well. Their previous attempts at making metalcore/hard rock hybrid music were really bad and just weird how quickly they started to go that route after the first album put them on the map.

Sound of Madness was one of the biggest mainstream albums in 2008 and basically what skyrocketed them. I know there's the whole stigma of "butt rock" but they're genuinely a really good studio and live band.

I just saw Shinedown last month with Godsmack for the first time in about ten years. And it was good but they aren’t as good as they once where I felt. They had too much unneeded and unessarcy loud “pyro” and bangs. They aren’t really butt rock / cock to me (Godsmack is). I saw them open for Tantric and that’s how I discovered them and saw them in a few medium sized clubs over the years. I don’t know if I need to see them again but maybe on a headliner and not a co-headliner they will play songs from the first two records.

Tantric. They headline dive bars. They have that song "Breakdown."

Saw Shinedown and Godsmack this tour as well (4th time for both). Really blown away by Shinedown's live show and how far their production has come and how Brent gets better every time (after quitting drugs/losing weight he's been noticeable more energetic and more of a showman). Disappointed that Godsmack was the same show I saw 6 years ago, and Sully went on for like 3 minutes about the gel he used in his hair (I wish I was kidding).

I saw that tour also, it was my first time seeing both. I loved Shinedown when they came out with their first album, loved the second one as well. After "Second Chance" got big they started having more ballads and sounded less "post-grungey".

For awhile i was ok with their ballads but the ones from the last 2 albums (especially the new single) are just cheesy as hell and whenever i hear them it makes me wonder wtf happened to that band.

I loved Godsmack's set, they were awesome live. They are one of these bands that sound even better live than in the studio.

Don't get me wrong, Godsmack is a good live band but they don't really change up much on the setlist tour to tour. I'm happy I saw them when their newest album was The Oracle. They were still playing songs like Serenity and Bad Religion. I would give anything to see Serenity thrown back in the set. Also if they can drop I Stand Alone I would be forever grateful.

I saw Shinedown in 2013 with Bush and Airbourne. I went for the openers, but they were really good too.

As much as I don't really care for Shinedown, they do put on a fun performance. Not willing to pay arena prices for Papa Roach though.

Damn. You know more than I do about them in 2018. you’re a real one.
Yeah. I’m not really a fan of these types of bands anymore. I thought shinedown sounded good but Godsmack was better. I use to be more into this stuff but I was visiting my family and it was going on so i went and I’m glad I did. I paid $20 for a first row behind the pit seat. I had a good time.

I'm surprised BTS aren't in talks of headlining Coachella.
