I've never been to a festival. Or Warped, for that matter.

 

The 1975/Carly Rae tho... Ughh...

 

I've done two Warped Tours, one Skate and Surf, Shadow of the City, and SXSW. I'm not a fan of fests much at all. I always feel like shit the next day.

 

It sucks, but I'm voting for the one that doesn't want to ban Muslims from entering the country and doesn't want to build a wall to keep Mexican immigrants out.

 

The idea of festivals is trash until u get there and it's super fun.

 

Only done free festivals with only one stage, festivals don't sound fun they seem exhausting

 

I wish Best Friends Day was still around those were fun.

 

I only been to Firefly and it was exhausting and there was rain and everything was muddy and I camped but it was fun.

 

Memes made about ppl's weight are so horrible and mean I can't even imagine how that's feel

 

That second Vendetta Red album was so good even though it was super fucked up.

 

I'm supposed to record tonight for 4 plus hours and I woke up with a sore throat and feel like shit. Nice.

 

That kinda happened to me last Friday. Woke up with a very dry mouth/sore throat and had to play a fairly large show to around 200 people. I drank some weird herbal drink called Umcka, used organic apple cider vinegar, gargled with salt water, and drank lemon/honey tea all day. Then I got kinda drunk to boost my confidence right before the show. Somehow, it magically worked, haha.

 

Other than the talking parts, I dig it

 

If there is ever one thing I can pass down to you is that IF you're going to drink. Drink vodka and water mixed. My 1st festival I almost had to go to the hospital for dehydration. From then on out drinking vodka/water kept me hydrated and drunk!

Its weird to me how bad festivals check for stuff. When I went to Gov Ball we filled water bottles with vodka, each of us had two bottles and all the guy did was say "Is that water?" and I just said "yes sir" and went in lol.

 

I'm really good about pounding water throughout the day all of the time. Days of shows I go especially hard in the morning.

 

I have only been to 1 where even if the seal wasn't broken on Gatorade/waterbottles they made you dump it out in front of them. Even the people who brought those camel pack water things. We were prepared though. One of the girls was wearing a long sarong and we ducktaped pints to her legs and body. I've never laughed to hard in my life. Alcohol was ridiculously priced in there but she loves margaritas so even at 8 bucks a pop We bought her those for the 1st day since she was such a trooper. She's a total badass in every sense of the word lol

 

I used to wear a sarong, because of tradition.

 

My cousin makes sure to always drink a ton of water when she drinks. She will buy a case of it at the bar and start handing it out to random ppl lol

 

I've never thought about it but is wearing a sarong cultural appropriation?

 

Wouldn't that make every accessory cultural appropriation to some extent?

I've thought about that before. I mean I know the obvious stuff but I'm not the smartest when it comes to these things.

 

I tried coming up with a good way of putting it, but I just come off as an ignorant white kid when I try.
