Woah. Huge left turn in here. Is that cheater guy the guy that left the band abruptly at one point? That’s what I remember happening and thinking that was strange. Never heard all this other stuff. Wow.

 

They had all sorts of wild stuff. They always dated the messiest ppl like that one who wrote a fanfic of her and Gerard's relationship. I remember that awkward interview cause he had been engaged for like a minute and the interviewer asked him about it and he was like .... Actually I'm not engaged anymore...

They also had that touring? member they caught stealing

Holy shit I completely forgot about the Mikey thing. I remember like right when they broke up a lot of people thought that was the reason


On a happier note, I just put all of Conventional Weapons into one album and threw Fake Your Death as the last song and it's one of my favorite albums by then

 

I actually really like that song a lot.

 

To answer your specific question, no - the cheater guy was Mikey Way, Gerard's younger brother. Bob Bryar abruptly left the band and has (had?) bad blood with the rest.

 

I guess while we’re on the hot gossip of past times, does anyone know what the deal was with Gerard and the guy from The Used? Seems like they were good friends until... they weren’t lol

 

That’s a good point. That under pressure cover is so fucking good too.

 

Yea they had a falling out, theories I've heard were that Bert got kind of jealous of how big MCR got, Gerard wasn't super down with all the stuff Bert was doing while Gerard was trying to get himself well, I'm sure there's others floating around.

 

I used to watch their interview together so many times the one where they were wearing sunglasses or whatever idek lol I was sad initially when they fell out but as an adult I'm like.... Yeah I mean they prob enabled each other and were a fairly toxic friendship? Idk if Bert is sober now but it prob wasn't super healthy

 

Oh god I forgot how much better this performance of Under Pressure was compared to the studio recording. Not to mention Mikey being assigned the tambourine and really being super in to it, way more than he ever was playing bass on stage.

 

"I Never Told You..." is their weakest closer, don't @ me

 

That's my second favourite song of all time, lol.

The three b-sides on TBP are underrated

 

Their b sides are so good. For a long time Desert Song was my fave song by them. So bummed my copy of Life on the Murder Scene was destroyed in my car fire smh.
