Has there been any mention of them still being on Run For Cover? Or of RFC’s stance in general?

i guess one of the things im thinking about it is based on all this information we have from last year and now this article, what seems like happened was the victim was dating someone and evan pursued them despite knowing this. the victim said no and evan persisted. nothing physical ever took place. that's what ive gathered. am i missing anything at all? because if that's all that happened....how did it get to this point? im not saying that's not bad, but its definitely not what it was painted to be whatsoever.

 

yeah I didn't think anything Steph was quoted as saying in that article was supportive of Evan/a Pinegrove return, idk how anyone inferred that

Had this question myself, as it appeared kind of vague. Looking back at the article, it appears that they did have a physical relationship, but Evan did not physically coerce her into it, just verbally/emotionally.

Yea, I mean he was wrong but if he is trying to get help, idk, a person should be able to come back from something like that. But like I said I understand people stepping away from the band that can’t make peace with it.

 

This whole situation is so fucked, I still don't know. I love their music, I listen almost daily, but I haven't been comfortable about vocalizing that love (Telling friends to check them out, buying/wearing their merch, seeing them if they tour again).

I'm seeing a lot of takes on their return, but if THE VICTIM has approved the steps Hall has taken and the bands return, shouldn't that be all that matters? (Genuine question)

 

I couldn't imagine RFC wanting anything to do with this mess.

 

They're self-releasing this next album then dropping from the label themselves. The article mentioned how RFC would have released the album, but they decided not to because other RFC bands were against it.

Sure, but because the victim is intentionally choosing to remain anonymous and intentionally didn’t speak for this article it’s hard for me to say “yeah they’re approving of this”

To be extremely clear, I am still personally uncomfortable with interacting with Evan’s music but if other people are comfortable with it, I’m not passing judgement on you nor do I think you’re Bad and Wrong
