It's still confusing, even after that official post

 

So basically Dittos have seen Meltan in the wild, and decided to take it's form. Nobody has actually seen the real Meltan yet, so this will probably lead to a quest in game or in the Let's Go game to catch the real Meltan

 

I've always thought mythic designs have been pretty cool, but the last two we've gotten have been pretty bad.

Speaking of Let's Go... Not sure if anyone here is planning on playing that, but it might be nice to stock up on some of the Gen 1 guys while the event is still going on just because you might need them depending on which version of the game you get.

 

I mean, it's pretty cool that they introduce a new Mythical Pokemon mysteriously like that, but it's not even exciting because of the horrible design.

At first I thought that Miltan's design was pretty horrendous, but then I remembered some of the absolute tragedies such as Bruxish, the mushroom pair, and Lickilicki, and now it doesn't seem too bad.

Basing Pokemon design on inanimate objects has its roots in Gen 1, so it doesn't bother me too much when I see it. The fact that Ditto are seeing this Pokemon and changing themselves to look like it makes me happy.

 

Yeah. Definitely not as bad as the sand castle Pokemon or the one that is literally a set of keys.

 

Oh and can't forget the one that is a bag of trash.

 

Still a horrible design.

Hmm yeah that probably would have been helpful to include, it’s EST. So I’ll be off in an hour.

 

That would make sense as to why they keep popping up on the tracker but I don't actually see them. They're just trying to tease us leading up to the game's release.

 

I mean they are definitely spawning, just not in the huge numbers they spawned in on Saturday.
