I saw blink in May 22 of 2002 and I still can't find a single photo, video, or audio of that show anywhere. It's almost like it didn't happen.

I remember when I was young we spent months speculating what happened and why they were all bruised up......now rewatching it 15 years later I'm starting to think it was a weird set up for the joke that they got their asses kicked by Martha Stewart.

    Did someone say Pennywise??

    Cause you’ll float too!

  8. I recommend the new MXPX to anyone in here who hasn’t tried it. Makes me feel like I’m listening to Dude Ranch or Enema but in a fresh, 2018 style. It rules.

  10. When I started my first band in high school (2001) the guitarist did a pick slide and I nearly shit. It was so fucking rad. Haha

I listened to TOYPJ today and outside of certain songs it really doesn't hold up with me anymore. Reckless Abandoned, Shut Up, Anthem Part 2 and Stay Together For The Kids are easily four of my favorite Blink songs I will say. Those songs hold a lot of attachment for me.

The three real bonus songs from TOYPAJ are among my favorite blink songs

I love TOYPAJ, and always will, still such a great album in my eyes and a great follow up album to EOTS. Just like EOTS every song flows well into the next and they have a purpose and there aren't any fillers.

I think it's peak blink before all the turmoil and the band changed musical direction. I also think it's the first album where Tom's song were on par with Mark's and Tom started to really be the stand out of the band due to his look.

And yes the three non joke bonus songs were great too, it's a shame that they aren't included as part of the "real" album.

The TOYPAJ era of the band is probably my favorite.

I love that era, I mean I looked up to Tom than. I started wearing Hurley because of him lol.

Also, I was jamming Neighborhoods today and I love to this day still. I honestly don't get the negative opinions about it. After Midnight hits me right in the feels.

Neighborhoods has some solid tracks. After Midnight, Natives, Up All Night, Hearts Al Gone and Even If She Falls specifically. I don’t hate it, I just feel it’s kind of disjointed. It’s missing something. Needed some polish and some retooling, and it is very Tom heavy, Mark needed some more shine time

I just don't think it's as good as any of their other albums and would probably rate it just above Buddha and either just below or above Cheshire Cat depending on my mood. I've also said I kind of look at Neighborhoods as a demo album. I think they had some good ideas for songs but Mark and Tom need that 3rd voice in the room (ala a producer) to help them out and tell them if their ideas are bad. The band not recording the whole album together for the whole recording process hurt too, which all of the members admitted too.

I've also soured on the album a bit because of the lack of care/effort Tom put into it. The fact that he didn't even listen to the mixes and it seems like he had no output in any of the Mark only songs. Don't get me wrong there are some really good songs on it. After Midnight is in my top 10 blink songs, Wishing Well is another good song, ditto for Even If She Falls. But as a follow up album to the Untitled album it falls pretty flat to me.

Yup took the words right out of my mouth. I think Mark was in a weird place where he was having trouble writing songs on his own and him trying to deal with Tom and wanting to reign him in but was kind of using kid gloves as to not wanting him to flip out and quit again.

Looking back on it just seems like a really weird and awkward time with the band.

It sure was a weird time for the band, but I think that's what makes it cool in a way. I also love the rawness of the album as well. I don't know, it's weird lol. The Dogs Eating Dogs EP has solid stuff as well.

They do. It was just such a dark, tense time for the band especially knowing now what we know, that it was inevitable we would not get their best work.

I don’t dislike any blink album at all, but Neighborhoods is at the bottom

It's all about personal taste and how you look at it. That's never a bad thing either !

  23. "When I Was Young" is top 5 best "post-reunion" songs

    in no particular order:

    When I Was Young
    Bored To Death
    She's Out Of Her Mind
    After Midnight
    Even If She Falls
