I think headlines are trying to make it seem like Kendrick personally called up spotify boycotting their decision to remove that music for click bait. "Representatives" means his label. Cool thing to do? no, not cool. But did "kendrick lamar defend XXXtentacion...", no, thats a pretty misleading headline. Would it have been dope for kendrick to be vocal and been like "TDE contacted Spotify voicing concerns about removal of problematic artists and i dont stand by this", or would it have been cool for him to contact TDE and say "lets not go this route" - absolutely. But acting like he is actively defending XXX's actions or something is a big stretch.

all in all, Kendricks "representatives" made a dumb move. but i think trying to cancel someone who has been a HUGE positive voice for a marginalized group in America because his representatives made one bad move is silly. Especially considering his track record otherwise is squeaky clean. and thats not even getting into his lyrical content talking about womans issues / the fact he has an entire record about womans issues in the ghetto.

also interesting to note that Kendrick had no social media condolences at the time of XXX's death (he did for Mac). where there were countless other hiphop names / industry names that publicly sent out condolences for his death via social media.

Sounds like Meg Myers' emergency surgery she had last week that led to her having to postpone this past weekend's shows in Texas was due to Endometriosis, an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of it, sometimes on the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Yikes. Glad that's nothing I would ever have to deal with. Hopefully it's just a one-time surgery and not something that will lead to further pain/discomfort down the road.
