great Ditto community day

 

Caught a few ???’s

I figured that it was some sort of prank but makes more sense to be an accident of some sort.

It’s good news for anyone still stuck on the research stage for Mew that need a Ditto.

 

Wouldn't it have been fixed by now if it was an accident? Or is it really supposed to be Kecleon or something

 

Ended with 6 shinies today. Stoked about it.

 

Haven’t seen any all day

 

I'm still in the school of thought that it is a placeholder for gen 8 poke

 

Caught 4 shiny, 8 Dittos, and 2 Mewtwo today... not a bad day.

 

There were like 18 of them, and now I don’t see any of those little Nutjobs.

Also, I really hope that’s the official name.

I got so excited that the Ditto was somehow an Unown form only to be let down.

 

I did too, i was walkng through town and my heart nearly stopped when i saw it pop up on the nearby

The NutDitto was definitely intentional. It showed up at the end of each zone's community day for a half hour and was everywhere during that time period. Its purpose was two-fold: get hype for the upcoming Let's Go games by teasing the new Pokemon promised and to help get the elusive Ditto for the most difficult stage of the Mew research, further closing the door on Gen I in Go.

 

Yeah, it's just weird there still hasn't been any official word especially given people were saying it showed up as Kecleon for them and some people got Chikorita out of it.

Also I prefer the unofficial name "Incognito".

 

I don’t think they’ll close the door on gen 1 though. Maybe they won’t have any events for it for a while but when they release gen 4 there are some gen 1 evolutions in there and I’m sure the casual player isn’t saving candies for those yet.

 

But they put the pre-evolutions in eggs/raids and made them more common encounters during the event. I don't expect that they will never be available again, just not very common.

 

I like that one. I was also a fan of “Missingnut”.

 

I got 9 shiny Chikorita, though none that were very good.

Had ol’ nuthead on my tracker but never saw him. Also just took part in another mewtwo raid that had 20 people but I didn’t catch it.

 

I think I'm just playing this game wrong. Haven't ever come across a single shiny. Have been the only person present for a Mewtwo raid on FOUR occasions now. Wish we had a more active community down here in Miami

 

Just need Mewtwo and Kang for the Kanto dex now. Hopefully I'll get into some raids this week

 

i'm a mewtwo short of the Kanto dex. gonna be tough considering i can't find a raid group

 

I used to think the same about here until I found a few discord groups. I don’t really participate in them but I found them through the silph road website and through them I was able to see what spots people actually go to. Also I find people tend to go to the touristy spots. Like today I was just out and about near a tourist trap and opened it up and there was 20 people raiding. I’ve only actually raided like less than 10 times though.

As for the shinies, I’ve only really gotten them on community days. I feel like I have luck going to parks during those to find shinies. Outside of that I’ve only gotten wingull and roselia without it being a community day so I have pretty bad luck with those
