Dom's verse in HONEY is joint with QUEER in just leaving me speechless at how good it is, man is a genius

Damn, Dom broke down during "Weight." Great performance.

 

I've honestly had trouble revisiting much of the Saturation trilogy because of Ameer (I tried once and his intro on "HEAT" immediately made me turn it off), which sucks because of how important those albums were to me last year, but I just compiled an album's worth of stuff without him (about half of All-American Trash and a few songs from each Saturation installment) and I'm excited to listen through it and sequence it into something I can connect with. Also, I'm not really mourning the loss of those songs now that we have this album, which is already impacting me emotionally the day after release

 

you can already tell it's a new era for brockhampton because no word count and also they didn't already release a teaser track for the next album

 

It’s pretty wild they recorded this in 10 days. The whole thing sounds so good

 

god I just realized, this puts Kanye to fuckin SHAME with the whole "rush record an album" and being able to actually do it well lmao

 

Damn, this might be their best album. It's for sure the most cohesive.

Production is absolutely amazing (Romil has a bright, bright future) and weird, and Bearface, who during the SATURATION trilogy I literally wouldn't have cared if he left the group, absolutely kills it the whole album. Completely changed my opinion on him. Joba, who didn't grow on me until SAT II, is also really great throughout. Kevin and Dom continue to impress (especially Kevin who is going to be such a star), but I really wish there was more Merlyn and especially Matt, it feels like we barely got anything from them. That's okay though, there's still two more albums coming apparently lol

I actually really liked Ameer (as a rapper) but this didn't feel like it was missing something at all. I also really commend them for going this direction, I thought they would get more poppy but this is the weirdest thing they've done yet. Can't wait for the tour

The outro of Honey is one of my favorite music moments in a long time

 

This is great and it’s growing on me a ton. I don’t love every song but the highs moreeeee than make up for it.

 

No lie, "praise god hallelujah I'm still depressed" might be my favorite line on this what with the way he delivers it

 

the transition between "New Orleans" and "Thug Life" is smoooooooooooth as butter

they don't need catchy hooks when they got the best lines tbh

 

I keep thinking the guitar at the end of "District" is a "Hesd in the Ceiling Fan" sample lol

I wish Joba would sing more like he does on FACE, I love that song
