I’m aging out of shows I feel like because I don’t enjoy the crowds like I used to. I want to enjoy the music, sing along like a hype idiot and jump around when I feel the energy sure but dealing with moshers and crowd surfers has become a major turnoff for me.

Getting old sucks lol

 

I will say that I feel many songs on this lack truly memorable hooks. If they could add some of that into their songs they will be truly elevated.

(You're all going to tell me that they have hooks but I mean, there's nothing anywhere near as catchy as Old White Lincoln, House On Fire or whatever, to choose random songs from similar artists)

 

Buffalo hook is pretty catchy

 

Buffalo hook is insanely catchy.

 

As a huge Buffalo Bills fan having a track with Buffalo in the chorus that’s catchy AF like that makes me pretty darn happy.

 

Fall tour dates.

 

Yeah there is the odd one but not enough through out the album, and even then I don't think they have quite perfected that side yet. I just want more hooks on their next album.

 

House on Fire is a weird example of a song with a hook.

 

It would work better if it weren't 97% of the song.

 

Tbh I was just trying not to choose The '59 Sound and Lookers, because expecting a band to write those quality songs is mad. I tried to go for more mid-ranking songs.

Holy fuck, just checked this out for the first time. Sounds like the album The Menzingers never released between Chamberlain and OTIP haha This is so good. It's insanely catchy without tons of hooks, that's a really nice change of pace and this band rules.

 

After all these listens, I still think that the album should've ended with "It's Not Interesting".

I listened to this twice this weekend on drives, this album is incredible. Will end high on my EOTY list I am sure.

This record dipped for me for a while and I haven't listened in a few months but I just checked the video and remembered that this fucking rules.

Would still like more songs with punchy choruses on the record but this one definitely has that.
