Between the Buried and Me have one great album, Colors, and the rest of their music ranges from typical metalcore to noodling prog bullshit.

 

DEP took years to click but now, man...

I can't listen to Yngwie Malmsteen because of this. The guy is extremely talented but I just can't listen to a whole album.

Yeah still nah. I was good friends with someone in school who loved Iron Maiden, I've been told to listen to countless albums of theirs.

Instrumentally I actually remember that one being a little better (although still a bit "gallopy" for my liking), but I still don't like the vocals and I still find the lyrics a bit corny.

I can't get into Converge and don't understand why they're looked upon as if they're some uber god of a band. They're obviously talented, but it's never grabbed me.
