After all this Jacksonville talk, I looked it up and was shocked to learn it was the 12th most populous city in the United States. In my head Jacksonville always had like, 250,000 people or so.

 

Yeah it's because it's the biggest city landmass wise in the US too. The city and county consolidated in the 90s so basically the entirety of Duval County (now you know why we shout DUUUUVALLL at Jags games) is considered statistically the city of Jacksonville. It's kind of cheating. The population of the city is really spread out.

The metro area is only like 1.2 million so it's not really a hugely populous area.

 

Ah, I see, that makes more sense then.

 

Also note that I'm saying it's my preferred part of Florida, not that it can compare to Seattle or any of America's prime major cities. There are a lot of things I don't like about Florida too haha, such as the high concentration of racist trashy people scattered throughout the state. But I was obviously taking those things into account when I decided to move here to save money, it wasn't going to come without some downsides.

90-95 degrees alone isn't too bad

Adding the humidity absolutely makes it hell on earth and is why I want to leave the south

In all seriousness it wasn't that bad, but we had no build up to the mid 90's we reached this weekend lol. We went from being low 70's/high 60's for a month right to 90's

I am not prepared

 

God moving in that weather is the worst, when I first moved to Killeen from Dallas it was like 90-100 and the power company still hadn't turned everything on at my new place so there was no A/C and it was so miserable loading everything in

That happened to me when I moved to Baltimore, in and out. No AC was the draw and the reason why it was 750 a month. Not to mention stairs that, starting from outside, went up the stoop and were blocked by a narrow guardrail, then turned 180 degrees to go around the laundry room, then turned 90 degrees in the opposite direction to go up. Narrow ass staircase too with a low ceiling at the beginning.

Imagine getting a mattress through that during one of Maryland's once every 3 weeks heat waves, 95 and humid even at 8 PM, no AC. Just forcing heavy shit around corners and shoving it where it barely fits under the ceiling and up steep stairs, in a stairwell with no moving air that acts like a hotbox. That was probably the hardest thing I've ever done and two stronger friends of mine did more of the work than I did lol

Has that kind of weight change for a non-obese skills player ever been positive? Seems extreme. If he's fit, 15 lbs should be about the maximum drop.

 

AJ Cann drawing some praise for some reps at right tackle he's been taking. Could be meaningless, but man it'd be great if we turned two third round guards into a quality RT and C (Linder's move to center is all but official.) Because guards are easy to replace but a third round C or T can much more easily flop.

Give me guys in those positions and have Kelvin Beachum get back to his original skill level at left tackle post injury, and the Jags finally have franchise pieces on the line.

I like seeing that the two Jags linemen from before this year that I do think are very talented on tape, are ascending to more important roles and exceeding coaches' expectations as well.

I feel like i would invariably rather suck for a season and pick another pass rusher high than pay my teams current pass rusher 150 million dollars and suck for awhile later on because you can't afford other necessary players
