Yeah I just watched it this weekend as well. Junkfood Cinema did an episode on it so I figured I'd check it out. really appreciated the practical effects but yeah it's a bit rough. the acting doesn't help haha

watched The Omen: The Final Conflict this weekend. really enjoyed it, Sam Neil is so good. ending is a bit anticlimactic, but all in all a solid trilogy. also watched Drag Me to Hell for the first time. great to see Raimi in all his ridiculous horror glory haha. movie was stressful, creepy, and ridiculously fun.

yeah I believe it was a tv movie. idk if I want to watch it or not. I also saw there was a short lived series that people seem to be decently fond of

Anyone see Night of the Virgin?

Also, didn’t realize the shudder subscription through amazon prime was missing shit. Cancelled that and got a real one, wish I had known that sooner.

Ended up getting a vrv premium trial so I have shudder for the next month. Anything I should watch there that I can't find on other streaming services?

Is it controversial to say I enjoy the F13 series infinitely more than the Halloween sequels?

I think it's pretty common belief that aside from the first Halloween, the series isn't very good

but I've only seen 1, 3, and bits of 4 and maybe 5/6 on cable as a kid

haha just kidding. I'll be rewatching the Halloween sequels to rejudge, but I know I like 2, 3, and h20. F13 I honestly have seen only the first and parts of others. whoops! gotta work on that this year.

I think the Friday series is ridic and campy which I enjoy. But I love more of the Halloween movies individually than Friday. But like Jason is a world and galaxy traveler so it's a close race!!

That's how I am... F13 and Nightmare are my two favorite horror franchises in part because I grew up on them as a kid.

Halloween was the film that solidified my future love for the horror genre. saw it with my Dad and my brother I believe when I was 9. we're really excited to see the new one together. for whatever reason I wasn't introduced really to F13 and Freddie when I was younger so that's always given Halloween an edge for me.

Personal choice of entertainment and preference is always individual.

However, if someone were to say that the FT13th series is better, scarier, or more entertaining than Halloween then i'd strongly disagree. The series was factually created as a cash grab idea because of the success of Halloween during that time period. This has been admitted by the creators for some time.
