couldn’t even make it to run the jewels tonight, left with about 10 minutes left of incubus’ set. i just saw them in june so it made it easy to leave early haha.

an after party friday and saturday made today a drag, but well worth it

 

Pink line took 30 minutes to arrive and when it did it was completely packed, so I said fuck it, got off the platform and made the impromptu 2.6 mile jog back to my car in Near West Side. Probably gonna feel that in the morning

That stage was way too small for incubus.

 

I was a FJM hater but maaaaaaaan did he crush. Damn he was good.

Someone got seriously injured during Bad Religion and the band played right through it. Guy was getting a neck brace put on in the photo pit and security was pulling crowdsurfers away from them so they didn't land on top of them.

 

Btw these Aaron West tickets are free if anyone can make it there in time. I'll email you the tickets now!

 

Barricade for Underoath today as the sun went down was my favorite set of the weekend. Spencer went so hard that he said he thinks he broke his foot.

 

If my phone wasn't dead and I didn't nhave work tomorrow, I would totally take you up on that offer! The Wonder Years were great earlier!

 

Would just like to say I would not have survived this weekend without the free Pedialyte packets. Absolute life saver today. I’m exhausted but I got to see everyone I wanted to for the most part. Also, if Jonathan from Columbus who owns a pineapple romper and likes Frank Turner is somehow reading this thread it was very nice meeting you yesterday.

 

I’m sad I didn’t jump on those tix after realizing Sleeping Village was literally on the way home for me (I’ve never been). Oh well. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to see Beach Bunny around here again

 

That and she's probably playing a shorter set as an opener anyways.

This thread is too chummy, and I wish to get back to the bitter complaining we had just before the fest.

1. Hey person in front of me, put down your stupid phone. Take a picture, take 10 seconds of video...fine. But you are never gonna watch that shaky, horrible sounding home-made video through your phone, and I don't want to watch the show through it.

2. It was really hot. Like...too hot today.

3. Hey fatty, don't crowd surf. Watching 5 people spend 20 minutes trying to lift a 230 pound dude is hilarious and all, but think of all the poor people who are suddenly terrified of being crushed. How about a catchy motto..."If you're more than 182, no crowed surfing for you".

4. Who kept dirtying up the air conditioned VIP bathrooms? I paid extra to shit like a goddamn civilized human being.

5. Bacci Pizza is awful. How dare you lure me in with such huge slices!

6. But Bacci wasn't the worst thing at Riot Fest. It was Blondie. My god, Blondie was terrible. I know Debby Harry has to be in her 70s and all, but goddamn, that was bad.

 

Was Blondie really that bad? I heard good things from other people. Clutch however, was the worst set of the weekend for me. Putting them in between BFMV and Underoath was a mistake.

 

Whew next year I’m taking Monday off as well.

 

Thought Clutch was pretty great.

Finally got all the dirt and blood off of me from Suicial Tendencies. I’m fucking exhausted, but it was a really fun Riot Fest. See you all again next year!

 

All in all a very successful Riot Fest. I’m so glad I took off today from work. I’m going back to bed

 

Limping into my 9am class feeling like death today

 

I ran 20 miles yesterday morning and then went to Riot Fest at 5pm yesterday. I don't wanna hear it from y'all! j/k complain all you want, I hope you had a blast!
To the person in here saying they wore the "Remember when Robocop shot that guy in the dick?" shirt - I 100% saw you while I was sitting on the turf during TBS' set on Friday.

 

i missed incubus last night. i went to the bathroom and my friend decided to lay down near the vip stage next to father john misty. when i came out, it looked much more comfortable to lay down than to go jump around to incubus.
