think you just don't appreciate wonderful overacting and that's cool!

 

he’s also really good in Adaptation., Bringing Out the Dead, Leaving Las Vegas, and The Wicker Man (even tho its an awful film)

 

I don't believe that his acting or anything in that movie is redeemable. His just ridiculous in it and totally unbuyable to me.

 

The first three are without a doubt his best roles, but including The Wicker Man is such an insane curveball. It’s definitely peak Cage in a lot of ways but only in a so awful it’s hilarious way. Like please do not watch that before you see him actually act beautifully.

 

that’s why I included the caveat of it being an awful film. but if one truly wants to see Cage in full-on freak out mode: that’s kind of the movie haha

Creep was really good! Don’t know why I slept on it for so long. It did take a dip in the last 30 min or so, but then the ending was really well done.

 

National Treasure is Nic Cages best roll

I should've been high while watching Mandy. Really enjoyed it though. Matt Skiba should be all over this movie.

I love him in Family Man and Gone one 60 Seconds as well. Yes he has a lot of meh movies under his belt but his crazy energy is so uniquely his that I can find no reason to call him anything but one of the greatest. He’s been taken for granted for so long.

 

Can't overstate how good the Mandy score is too. RIP Jóhann.

I hate feeling like I’m overhyping anything and that’s really hard with this one because I truly think it’s so fucking good

 

My ex came over last night. I told her I wanted to rent Mandy and watch it cause it's been getting a lot of praise. She watched the trailer, had no interest, and we settled on Ferdinand somehow.

 

Omg I can't wait for this.
