Well they said “tomorrow” so I figured Friday but the poster says Saturday and I work early so I probably can’t

 

There's an interview via that same channel that released the track-by-track commentary. The German interviewer really put them (Dustin and Teppei) on the spot.

 

And the commentary all but confirms that Teppei is the band's wizard. Whenever somebody can't figure out a part or where something should go, Teppei is called upon to figure it out. What a talent. #Teppow

When they kick it to the half time part on the second chorus of Branch I audibly go “ooooooooohh” every time

It turned a good song into a great song.

 

Teppei's reaction during the "Hold Up a Light" commentary is quite telling.

 

Y’all are nuts. Hold Up a Light is a dope track. Ed’s bass in the breakdown is so perfect.


I think Palms is their best-sequenced record probably

 

First listen just done. This album caters to my specific tastes almost exactly and I could see it becoming my all time fave but it needs to settle.

Stand out on first go: Just Breathe

 

Really dug this on first listen, maybe my favorite first listen of a Thrice album

 

I like the song in sequence. I really don't mind the song; I just don't seek it out.

 

"Just Breathe" floored me on my first go-round, too. One of their best songs ever.

 

Here we go

 

Blood on Blood would be a great choice for a single on this album. It’s excellent.

 

It'll never happen, but I'd love to see a video for "Beyond the Pines." For some reason, it brings to mind a ton of visuals whenever I listen to it.

 

I love the sound of the bass on this album, but the whole thing is super underwhelming.

 

Massive Water/Air vibes at the end of Just Breathe

 

2nd listen and this thing is really firing on all cylinders folks. Hold up a Light is growing on me, everything is fantastic except the chorus. I sort of wish he didn’t repeat “Hold up a light” in the chorus and I think it’d be really good imo.
