Dems need to get control, grow a spine and remove Kavanaugh from the Supreme Court. There's more than enough reasons to do it.

 

I see zero path for Dems to ever have 2/3 of the senate.

 

combine ND, SD, Wyoming, Idaho into 1 state, grant statehood to DC and PR

this is only partially serious.

DC and PR should be states though.

 

There should be an amendment where population centers that are large enough gain increased representation in the senate. It’s going to be become necessary as more people move to cities and rural areas keep dying off. It’s already like 18% of the country having half the senate, and the house is not balanced correctly anyway.

 

Seems like a catch 22 because dems would need complete control to change that but it’s hard as shit to see that happening

 

If dems had 2/3 they'd just fuck it up again.

 

Lots of really really good things have come when dems have had an actual super majority. See: 74th congress.

Or do what that one guy said to do in his book. DC, PR, Guam and anywhere else you can think of become states and you split Cali into one state for each major metro area and then you do a federal redistricting and implement ranked choice.

Also probably abolish the presidency as such and do a PMship instead
